Dear Cousin,
I do know about Brian's great career. He was a terrific coach for the
Notts. He lead that team like a real champ. He has taken ill from what I
understand.
Since we " Clough's" have had such a great impact on history, I do
hope to find others who have made contributions in the sports world.
Thanks for the information.
Happy " Fourth of July" to all the "Cloughs" out there. May we take the
time out of our celebrations to say a prayer for the souls who got us here.
They were the corner stone and foundation of our great country and our
ancestry which binds us all.
Love Ronnie
Brian Clough was Manager of Nottingham Forest football club but has retired
now. More Information could be got from The Football Association of Great
Britain or from Notts. Forest Football Club Nottingham U.K.

Brian Clough is a coach for football (soccer) for one of the British teams.
Can't remember which one. He was a fabulous player too in his time.
Thanks. Becky
Dear Sheila and all family members,
I have a couple questions that I wish some one out there might be able
to help me with. Has there been any professional "Clough" athletes? Has any "
Clough's" participate in the Olympics? This would be a great article for a
future bulletin issue.
Love Ronnie
Dear Clough Cousins,
It has been a while since I have posted anything to the list. Sorry about
this. I have been working a lot of hours lately and have been dealing with my
brother's cancer issue. I am sure you will all understand where my priorities
lie right now.
Here is some good news! :-) Lise Hull, a freelance writer I took a course
from, has written an article about genetics and has included our Clough DNA
study. I have yet to read the article but plan to today.
The article may be found in the July/August 2003 Everton's Family History
Magazine pg. 62-67. I am looking forward to reading it and hope all of you will
too.
Best Wishes To All! :-)
Sheila
Good morning: I was wondering if anyone knows the parents of Caroline
Barlett who married Edward Wadleigh Clough on 11-16-1848 in Manchester.
She is my great great grandmother. On her sons death record it states
she was born in Barnett Vt. But on the map I don't find a Barnet Vt. I
find a Barton. It also says that her son Charles was born in Stowe Vt.
and husband Edward was born in Bradford N.H. Edward and Caroline had at
least these children: Edwin, Emma, George L. and Helen. Thank you for
any help you can offer me.Darlene
