I know this is a very old post but I found your Andrew CLOUD in the 1850 US Federal Census in Dorchester, Mass:
1850 US Census; Place: Dorchester, Norfolk, Massachusetts; Roll
M432_329; Page: 39A; Image: 83.
He was living with his brothers Harvey & George...Harvey's daughter Harriet was born Charlestown, VT. Search for "Harvey CLOUD b. 1808/Vermont" and you'll find him. Their parents were Daniel & Sally CLOUD.
I would love to know if you have other info on this family.

Hello List,
Please check your Cloud genealogy and see if you have information on Mary
Helen Cloud, who was born in 1906 in Ashland, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana
and died in 1990 in California.
Mary Cloud left home in Louisiana in 1938 and never returned. A college
in California wrote her parents asking for her college papers from
Louisiana; it was the last time she was heard from. Information was found on the
Social Security Index using the name Helen Cloud. What was the cause of her
death? Where is she buried?
Any information will be greatly appreciated by her family.
Thank you,
Shirley
Shirley,
Are you sure the SSDI reference to Helen Cloud is the same person? Helen's social security card was issued in Indiana.

My husband's people came from the are near Huntsville, AL, called ... Cloud's Cove. Thank you for writing. I am on Facebook if you would like to send me your e-mail in a more private setting.

I think somewhere along the line, someone mistakenly substituted William's name with Benjamin Franklin Cloud in your tree. B.F. Cloud was William's son and was born in 1783. In 1750, the real Benjamin Franklin was the Justice of the Peace for Philadelphia, so I don't think that there were very many people naming their kids after him yet. It seems that by the 1750 birth date and the wife by the name of Mary Elizabeth Morgan, this is William Cloud, not his son B.F. There was a William Cloud born in 1728, but it is B.F.'s grandfather and the other William's father.

I don't know if you are still looking, since I just came across this email dated 2000, but my grandfather was Will Cloud who lived and raised a family in Marshall County, AL (Guntersville on top of Little Sand Mountain). He married Lila Jones and had 8 children: Ossie Nell Cloud, Walter Dixon (W.D.) Cloud--my father--born 10/23/21, Andrew Belson (A.B.) Cloud, Bill Cloud (can't remember whole name), Gladys Cloud, Opal Cloud, and Callie Sue Cloud. The Cloud family history is sketchy on my side because neither my grandfather or father were "talkers" and did not want to discuss the past. Apparently, times were very hard and disheartening. I will try to find out more if you are interested. Let me know. Thanks.
