Frank Cloud of Evarts, Ky was my grandfather. He was the son of Alexander Cloud and Jane Burkhart Cloud.
Frank Cloud was married twice. The first wife was Rhoda Dean who he had one son with. The son's name was Olin Cloud.
Frank Cloud's second wife (my grandmother) was Fannie Jones King, the daughter of Mary Jones and Bill King.
Frank and Fannie Cloud had 4 children together.
They were Damon, Naomi, Vina (my mother) and Roosevelt.
Damon and Vina are deceased.
Frank was born Feb.22, 1883 and died Oct. 22, 1990. He was the oldest man in KY when he died. He and his wife Fannie are buried at Evarts Memorial Gardens, Evarts, KY.

Lydia,
There are two (Harlan county) Frank Clouds on the mykindred.com site who have the same birth and death dates and who married a King girl, daughter of John King and Mary Jones.
The first Frank is shown as the son of Alexander as his father:
http://mykindred.com/cloud/TX/getperson.php?personID=I69912&tree=mykindred01
(I researched this line a little and feel pretty confident of it.)
The second Frank is shown as the son of Greenberry. The information was given to me by descendants of Frank Cloud:
http://mykindred.com/cloud/TX/getperson.php?personID=I124873&tree=mykindr...
Perhaps these are two different people and the dates are wrong (for one of them) or a mistake has been made as to the father of one of them and they are one and the same person?
Another anamoly is the wives listed for these two Franks. Frank the son of Greenberry is shown as marrying Fannie King and Mary Jane Wynn and Frank the son of Alexander is shown as marrying Rhoda Dean and Laura King.
I would very much like to resolve the apparent inconsistencies in this data. Do you know anything that might resolve them?
thanks,
Tom Cloud

kcbooger,
There are a number of Clouds in Ohio.
A little more information might help. Why do you want to know? Also, it would be useful to know who made the post (and wants the information), so your name would be nice rather than an anonymous moniker.

There is a sale on DNA tests through the end of August. Please see the Cloud Surname DNA Project website for details:
http://mykindred.com/cloud/dna/
This is a great opportunity to encourage (and maybe sponsor) others to join the project.
Ideally, you would help us add members to our group from the paternal descendants of any CLOUD line. Please take a look at the pedigree information of the current participants. If you know of any male descendant from a branch not tested, it would be very helpful if you'd encourage and/or sponsor that person to join the project.
http://mykindred.com/cloud/dna/results/pedchart.php
The project is specifically aimed at using Y-DNA -- which means it traces the male paternal lineage only -- but mtDNA tests are also available.
If you're a man or a woman descended from the Cloud line, you can join the project and take advantage of the group price savings.
But only MEN who are DIRECT PATERNAL DESCENDANTS of a CLOUD ancestor will be included in the project results and analysis. This is because of the way Y-DNA works (traces a man's paternal line only). Men whose mothers were Clouds can join, but they can't be included in the project analyses. Similarly, women (who don't have any Y-DNA) cannot be included in the project analyses either, since it is a Y-DNA project.
If you have any questions, please ask. You can respond to this list, you can send an email from the DNA Project page or you can write me off-list.
sincerely,
Tom Cloud

Sharon,
I can't find any of these people in my data, nor do I have anyone buried in this cemetery ...
... but I did find the cemetery at findagrave.com. They don't have a record of these burials and might appreciate having them.

Did you perchance get pictures of the stones?
