Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter reports: "DNA Accepted as Mayflower Descent Proof -- This could be a landmark decision for lineage societies. The Mayflower Society has now accepted DNA evidence as proof of a descent from one of the passengers on that little ship."

Thank you very much for forwarding this information. I just found out why I
have never been able to find any information on a great uncle. I always
thought his name was Morgan Craig (at least that is what family members told
me). And we always called him Uncle Morgan. His registration card shows that
his real name is John Morgan Craig. Thanks again.

Dear Tom,
Yes, for a short time the records are free, thanks for posting. I would
also like to share that the WORLD WAR 1 REGISTRATIONS CARDS are also free
for this period of time. Men who where born in the late 1870's & forward
had to register so it is a good source of a mans full name, birth date and
could have his wife or mothers name as next of kin and whom or where they
worked. There where 3 different cards, men had to make out one of the three. Not
all three of the cards have all of the above info, but they are
still a good source of data.
What I found out in my case is that in 1918 my Uncle HUBERT WRIGHT who lived
in St. Louis, MO when he made out his card stated that his parents JAMES
FRANKLIN WRIGHT AND WILLIE ETTA ARMSTRONG WIRGHT lived in Florence,
Lauderdale CO., AL. This I never knew. My sister told me that our father
PHIL JACKSON WRIGHT whet to AL to work after he was rejected by the draft of
WW 1 but we did not know where in AL. BINGO now we know.

Researching the family of William Cloud, b. 16?? who is recorded in the book
"Southside Virginia Families" by John Bennett Boddie,p. 73+.
This is an ancestor, and we are proving to him for membership in Daughters
of the American Colonists.
William came from Caine, Wiltshire, England, and settled in Chester Co., PA,
where William Penn granted him 500 acres of land on Sept. 8, 1681. He made
his will on 20 July 1700 and was a Quaker. He named son William Cloud,
Jeremiah Cloud, Joseph, John, Robert, granddaughter Hannah Cloud, who was named
Executrix.
I would like to correspond with any descendants, or any who could send
additional genealogy of descendants.
Thank you kindly for your time.

Chromosomes Of Genghis Khan
Approximately 16 million Asian men can consider themselves to be Genghis Khans descendants, but there are no such men among the Russian population. These conclusions were made by Russian geneticists and their Polish colleagues, who had investigated Y-chromosomes with representatives of 18 nations of Northern Eurasia......
