Finally! Dad finally did the kit! Just mailed it in about an hour ago!
Maybe he can be the link to your Jeremiah!

Looking for information on ...
Margaret F. Cloud, b. ca 1910 in Pennsylvania, according to 1920 census enumerated Jan. 1920.
Her father was born in New York according to 1920 census.
Her mother's parents were James Pierce (1837 PA - ) and Edna Hulmes (1841 Eng - ). They are on 1870-1920 census, except 1890, in the same place -- 35 Graham Street, Chester, Delaware, PA.
In 1920 (below) Margaret is living with her grandmother (her grandfather was alive in 1910). I can't find her on 1910 census or her family. A clue is that her grandmother was born England (her mother's mother would be shown b. ENG on 1910 census).
1920 census, PA, Delaware, Chester city, e.d. 125, 2-B, (T625-1561, p. 135)

Pierce, Edna, head, own, F, W, 79, wid, 1841, m. 1821, ENG, ENG, ENG

Wayne,
You can see all the people aassociated with any particular location at
- - http://mykindred.com/
Keep in mind that the place might be listed in different ways. In this case, Knoxville is listed with and without the county.
I find only one Cloud under Knoxville, TN and one other under Knoxville, Knox cty, TN
1 - Margaret Woods Cloud (36700)
2 - Chalmers Anderson Cloud (71305)
you can click on the little magnifying glass next to any place name and you will get a list of all people with an event for that place.
The search URL for Knox county is
http://mykindred.com/cloud/TX/placesearch.php?psearch=Knox+county%2C+Tenn...
but it only returns Margaret Woods Cloud (above).

I wish, oh how I wish, we could find one male in all these United States
with the surname Cloud who could prove with a y-dna test that he is of
Native American origin or even has Native American markers on his dna.
This suspense is killing me.

I have seen Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek tribes represented in various
documents with Clouds named, most of them lived in OK at the time.

The Dawes Rolls show a large number of Indians with the Cloud last name. I have seen Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek tribes represented in various documents with Clouds named, most of them lived in OK at the time.

Hi, I don't know if this is true for your Clouds, but my grandmother who was eighty-five when she died said that her grandfather, Franklin Dupler, who's mother was a Cloud, said they were Delaware, Lenai-Lenape Native American. A lot of the Delaware were moved out of Ohio due to the Indian Removal.

My grandparents always told me that "Missouri" Caroline Cloud Norman "was an Indian." My grandfather and his sisters sure looked "Indian," high cheekbones, olive complection, black hair into old age (OK, maybe Clairol helped my great aunts...because sometimes they were blonde) and they certainly thought so, even to the point of teasing each other about it.
So where did this idea come from? Were the Clouds a Trail of Tears family? I have just begun this line of inquiry after finding Caroline. Janet
My name is John V. Reeb and I am a great-great grandson of Joab Cloud and Lucinda Jefferson who relocated to northwestern Arkansas where they lived in Madison and Washington Counties between 1860 and after 1870. I have not been able to lean who the parents of Joab Cloud were but I believe that he and his wife Lucinda Jefferson Cloud lived in Rutherford County, NC before moving to Forsyth County, Georgia before 28 Oct 1850. Lucinda is believed to have been a daughter of Bazzel Jefferson and Elizabeth Duvall. I would appreciate any information on this family which could eventually perhaps lead to the discovery of Joab Cloud's ancestry. I do know that based upon census records he was born about 1826 in North Carolina. I would also like to make contact with other descendants of Joab Cloud. John V. Reeb
