YES THERE IS CLOUD'S IN GEORGIA. MY MOTHERS FAMILY ARE CLOUD'S AND MOST OF THEM LIVE IN FORSYTH AND CHEROKEE COUNTY. THEY ARE DESENDENTS OF DEE AND ENON CLOUD.
I got Ken's site going again last night -- but haven't heard
from Ken, so I don't know if he is aware of it yet or not.
The URL for the new format is
http://cloudweb.org/indextng.php
This may change as Ken works on it, so you should keep the
main entrance to it as http://cloudweb.org/
If you see any problem with it, let either Ken or me know.
sincerely,
Tom Cloud

The date and place of birth are from Noah's WWI draft registration card. He was living in Allen Parish, Louisiana when he registered on 5 June 1917. He was living in Acadia Parish, Louisiana in April of 1920 when the census was taken. In about 1919, he married Lovenia/Levenia Aguillard/Gillard. In April of 1930, he was once again living in Allen Parish Louisiana. He and Lovenia had a daughter named Lessie (b. 1820, d. 1989). Lessie married Ophy Bouley, date unknown to me.
I am looking for Noah's parents. The father's name might be Jerry.
Was Marie a Cloud by marriage or by birth. If by birth, when and where was
she born and what was the name of her father? If by marriage, what was the
given name of her husband?

Tanya,
Some time ago I helped Ken change the format of his site and he is currently having some problems with it. I will check with him again this afternoon and see if we can get it back online.
In the meantime, I have the date you gave me, as well as other information, on your line at the mykindred.com site.

Dawn,
Do you have any dates or place information?
Tom Cloud
I am looking for any information that you might have for a Lavina Cloud- Mother is
listed as Elizabeth Martin and Father is Terrill Cloud- They were not married and this is
the only child they had together - Thank you Dawn King
I can't put you in contact with a descendant. Here is what I have on
Francis and Eliza (Cloud) Allen.
Francis Allen was born in 1809 in Virginia.
Eliza Cloud was born in 1815 in Tennessee.
They were living in Lee County, Virginia in 1850 and had ten children - all
born in VA.
John - 15
Rebecca - 13
Martha - 12
William - 11
Mary - 9
James - 7
Alexander - 5
Benjamin - 4
Eliza H. - 2
Susan - 6 months
They were living in Winchester, Clark County, KY by 1870. There were three
children still living at home. they were:
Susan - 20
A.C.C. - male - 19
A second child named Mary - 17. The first Mary may have died between 1850
and 1853.
Check marriage records in Lee Co., VA and Clark County, KY and find who the
children married. You can follow the trail from there. I would start with
John Allen who may have married between 1855 - 1860.

Hi Folks:
If you or a friend have been having problems the last couple of days signing
on to AOL, you are they are most likely been using a Norton Security
program that has been malfunctioning.
An article on page D-2 in the Business Section of the Washington post
newspaper for Saturday, explains how to go about temporarily deactivating the
Norton program so that you can get in to AOL and the Internet, where you can
then update the Norton program and restart your computer.
Good luck to you or your friend.

Just because some member of an Indian tribe somewhere back in the distant past had a name like Red Cloud, Black Cloud, or some other Cloud name doesn't prove that your Cloud ggg grandmother was a full blooded Indian. Before you attempt to claim Indian ancestry, please do one of the following: (1) search the Dawes Indian rolls until you find the name of your ancestor or (2) log on to the web page of any and all of the Indian tribes and read what is required for you to be added to their membership rolls. There aren't any shortcuts.

Jamie,
It is nice to learn about you and your family. There is some data at the site
http://mykindred.com/
But it doesn't have the details you have provided. For example, there is no sister to Polly named Sarah, and the children of Polly are not there.

I am a descendent of Polly Cloud and Lawrence Brock.
My gg grandmother was their first child named Sarah Ann Brock. !st married a Teague, then William B. Johnson. Their children were: Nan Simpson, Liza Jeralds, Joe Johnson, Lawrence Johnson who married Nancy Dalton of Coker Creek, TN
My g grand father was Lawrence Johnson form Englewood, Tn
Let me know if you have any further info
Famliy elders tell us that Polly and Sarah Cloud were 2 cherokee sisters that married the 2 Brock Brothers, Henry and Lawrence to keep from being removed on the trail of tears, by being hidden in the nearby hills.
They were married May 24, 1838, at Liberty Hill Church of Christ close to Englewood, TN and lived in the hills nearby.
