The Noah Cloud you are searching for did move from Allen Parish to Acadia Parish. Here is his parents and some additional information that may help you.
Jeremiah "Jerry" Cloud born 1860 in Louisiana and who died 14 March 1901 (Jerry was murdered outside of Oakdale, La riding on horseback on his way home from work with his son. It was routine to have his son, Noah, come after him on horseback at the close of each day's work because his place of work was a little distance from their home. This is the reason Noah witnessed the shooting. The murder and trail was posted in the Lake Charles newspaper and Alexandria newspaper of the time with many articles.) Jerry was buried on March 16, 1901 near Oakdale. He did marry 24 Dec 1889 in Newton Co. Texas to Mary Lula Brack who was born 04 Apr 1870 in TN. Of this union there were children Lucina "Sinie" Cloud (she married known 3 times), Noah Cloud (name in subject line of this posting and witness to his father's murder), Jesse Warren Cloud (who is my great grandfather and who resided in the Guy Community, south of Oakdale, LA), Suphronie "Fronnie" Cloud, and Elizabeth "Beth" Cloud (!

Russell,
The information given to you for the Cloud surname in question came from my earlier research on my direct Cloud line. Gracie and I made a Brack connection from my Cloud line and an earlier posting. I have added updated information from further reseach to my Cloud line since the posting and information was passed on. Here is some information that may help on the Subject Noah Cloud.
Let me start with Noah's father and how I am related.
Of this union there were children Lucina "Sinie" Cloud (she married known 3 times), Noah Cloud (name in subject line of this posting and witness to his father's murder), Jesse Warren Cloud (who is my great grandfather and who resided in the Guy Community, south of Oakdale, LA), Suphronie "Fronnie" Cloud, and Elizabeth "Beth" Cloud (!
childern descendant of Elizabeth are said to be living in Evans, LA ???). After Jerry's death, Mary Lula Brack did marry Daniel Laird and more children were born of this union. Mary Lula died 11 Mar 1936 in Orange Co., Texas.
Jerry's(born 1860) father was Jeremaih Cloud was born abt. 1832...died between 1872 - 1880 in the Calcasieu Swamp. His father, Jeremiah Cloud is found on Rapides Parish, Louisiana Census 1860 with second wife, Lucinda Doyal, who was born 12 March 1840. They married 21 Apr 1859. Lucinda died 13 Apr 1922. Lucinda did again marry on 07 Jul 1890 sometime after the death of Jeremiah.
>From my line of Cloud's starting at Jerry and Lucinda Cloud, the names of the children are carried down the line. Here is one name given to the next...my great grandfather, Jesse Warren Cloud was born 01 Mar 1895 in Burksville, TX (just a little note: he was actually born on Feb 29, 1895 but acknowledged March 1 as his birthdate) and he died 05 Dec 1983 in Louisiana. Jesse was the son of Jeremiah "Jerry" Cloud born 1860 and Mary Lula Brack Cloud. Jeremiah "Jerry" Cloud born 1860, had a brother named Jesse Warren Cloud who died 03 Sep 1939 in Pitkin, LA. Their mother Lucinda Doyal Cloud's father was Jesse Warren Doyal. My Great Grandfather Jesse named a son Jesse Warren. Also, I have a Great Aunt still living called Jerry and a 1st cousin named Jerry. Also, I found the names Lucinda or Elizabeth passed to females and Noah, Rueben, Jerry passed to other males in this line of Clouds.
Special NOTE: There to be ANOTHER Jerry Cloud which was born in 1866 who is and has been crossed or confused with my Jerry Cloud who was born in 1860. This information starts in 1880 and please keep a watch on the dates when comparing to my Jerry Cloud born 1860 remembering he is dead by 1901.
Found on the 1880 Louisiana Census, Rapides Parish in Hickory Flats (T9-0449). Jerry Cloud age 14, single, born 1866 who is still living with his mother Mary Cloud age 45 (widowed). Since Mary Cloud is widowed, then what Cloud is her spouse? Jerry & widow Mary Cloud are living next door to Walter Cloud who is the 1/2 brother to my Jerry Cloud born 1860.
Next, there is a Jerry Cloud married to Missouri Johnson in Rapides Parish, Louisiana March 17, 1889.
Then, there is a Jerry Cloud married to Emmie Johnson in Rapides Parish, Louisiana on Sept 21, 1892. This Jerry is still with Emmie Cloud in 1899 because I found a Rapides Parish Land Record at Courthouse in Alexandria, LA for Jerry M. Cloud and Emmie Cloud who purchased land in Glenmora, Rapides Parish, Louisiana. (There are two land office records on file at New Orleans for Jerry M. Cloud on April 26, 1900 & May 9, 1900.) On 1910 Louisiana, Rapides Parish Census ED90, Sh 51, Jerry M. Cloud is head age 45 born in LA 1865 which shows father born (unknown) mother born in Louisiana. Oda is the wife at age 19 with 5 children: Headly age 16, Pot (?) age 14, Marilla age 13, Bessie age 10, Harrol age 8 & McKinley age 11/12. Note the age of this wife, is this the third marriage for the Jerry Cloud born 1866? Jerry Cloud born 1866 is found again on 1920 Louisiana, Rapides Census ED 68, Sh 2 at age 52 with wife Odey age 29 and 6 more children. In 1954 (Dec 2, 1954) American Pre!
ss, Lake Charles, Louisiana has an obituary published: "Former Glenmora Man Dies, Leaves 117 Descendants"..."Jerry died at age 91...surviving his wife: eight sons, Hadley....;six daughter Marilla..." Note: Glenmora is north of Oakdale, LA.
So, by following this other Jerry Cloud, who is his father and where did his father come from? Could it be the missing a Jeremiah Cloud from another state? AL? TX? After 1901 Jerry Cloud born 1860 dies and the names " J.M. Cloud, Jerry M. Cloud and Jeremiah M. Cloud" are found on documents belonging to this Jerry Cloud born 1866. It looks as if there are two Jerry Cloud in Rapides Parish, Louisiana around 1900 to 1901 that have confused researchers. My Jerry Cloud born 1860 dies in 1901 and the other Jerry Cloud born 1866 live to be age 91.

Just checked out your family web page and you people have done a very GOOD job to try to help any future genealogist searching these surnames . I have put it in my favorites as a guide to check back on. I salute you all for a job well done and it well be very informative I am sure. Like I told you I am related to the Bracks but the Cloud info I sent you was given to me by Gracie Webster to show me a Brack connection . So I can not really vouch for the accuracy of it . Well Brack part I can but Cloud part I can't . I am not to familar with a lot of my Ford line before 1816 because there seems to have been a native American connection in it somewhere and I have found no records that show any existence of Simon Peter Ford before 1830 when he came to Texas . I can show how he was connected to my grdmother but anything above him is a brickwall for me. Simon Peter Ford fought with Sam Houston at San Jacinto,so there are plenty records of him in Texas and Louisiana but before that-!
--none . Do you possibly know of any of the Fords in Tennessee around early 1800 ? I "THINK" that a James Ford b.-abt. 1787,in Tenn.,may have been his father but since Simon left home at an early age(14)he may have only appeared on one census(1820)at the age of 4. And since any census before 1850 listed only heads of household and just numbers for others, can't prove that . Some on-line cousins of mine have had ,through DNA,my Jordan line traced way back but just where my line connected hasn't been found yet. This DNA stuff confuses me ! LOL Well happy hunting and good luck on your search--Russell

Russell,
I will write you and Margaret an email -- but you can see what has been contributed and collected at http://mykindred.com ... it has been recently updated.
WRT your question about the Fords and the Clouds -- I'm embarrassed to admit I can't recall how they tie into my branch -- it is not a direct Cloud-Ford marriage so I can't look for it that way (maybe one of my Jeremiah cousins can help me out??).
There are three Cloud-Ford marriages in my records, but none are in my direct line:
Ann Cloud (b. ca 1771) married a Ford
Hannah Cloud (1757) m. John Coke Ford (1758) 1781 in PA
Sinah Cloud (1749) m. Nathaniel Ford (1747) in SC

Margaret,
All I know on this family I have gleaned from posts you and others have made. I would be happy to work with you on it, but don't know anything about the Aguillard family.

Tom,
My granddaughter is the 2nd great granddaughter of Noah Cloud and Lovenia Aguillard through their daughter, Lessie P. Cloud. who married Joseph Ophelius Bouley (Ophy). Lessie and Ophy had at least one son, Jason, who is my granddaughter's maternal grandfather. I am her paternal grandmother.
Do you happen to have information on the parents of Lovenia Aguillard? I have her mother as Celeste Morvant, but no information on the faather.

Russell,
I'm interested -- Mary Lula Brack is no blood relation to me, but her aunt, Leathey Ann Rutledge Brack, is my second great grandmother, making Mary's first cousin, Margie Brack my great grand aunt.
I have Fords in my Cloud line also.
thanks,
Tom Cloud
