William Augustine Cloud married Elizabeth Grace Kennedy.
I have a question for you. Do any of you have any notes or sources that show Elizabeth Grace Kennedy's father, Evander Kennedy, was a doctor?
Ric
The information is found in the book"Cloud, Woolsey, and allied families by
Margaret (Howze) Purcell copyright 1987" page 68. Another source: The
History of The Cloud Family by Edward Jacob Cloud 1960. This gives some
information on Elizabeth Grace Kennedy Cloud and her family.

Excellent speakers have been lined up for the "Cloud Family Gathering" in Knoxville, TN, over the weekend of 16-18 July. These include noted author and speaker Dr. George Sweitzer, professional genealogist and CFA Historian Jan Cloud, storyteller Jimmy Claborn, and Assoc. Director of the East Tennessee Historical Society Cherel Henderson.
This national meeting of members of numerous branches of various Cloud families represents the greatest concentration of knowledge of Cloud history and genealogy to be found anywhere. These national meetings are held in even-numbered years and are supplemented by regional meetings (four in 2003) in odd-numbered years. The Saturday schedule includes a luncheon and the annual 10:00 a.m. meeting of the Cloud Family Association, during which officers for the 2004-2006 term and several other Board members will be elected and the location of the 2006 meeting will be decided. The Sunday schedule includes a trip to Hawkins County and a catered picnic lunch on the banks of Cloud's Creek. An advanced party of Cloud researchers will arrive in Knoxville on Tuesday (7/13/04) and work under the guidance of Historian Jan Cloud to "deCloud" the historical records archived there. Others are invited to join in for either the group effort or pursuit of clues related to individual challenges. F!
indings will be summarized on Saturday and published in subsequent Cloud Family Journal issues.
This "Smokie Mountains" area offers many reasons to consider it for a vacation trip with the added benefit of attending the Cloud Family Gathering. Dr. Ray Shirley, a CFA VP, is the host this year. Over the past 27 years these national meetings have been held in PA, NC, GA, AL, LA, TX, AR, KS, and W. TN. OK and TX are now candidates for 2006. Regional meetings have been held in some of these same states and also in CA.
For more information, see: http://mykindred.com/cloud/2004/ or http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cloud/2004/
Please consider marking this on your calendar.

(son of Bayliss and Elizabeth Cloud) and A.J. Hayden (possibly Anna Jane)
and their children: Charlotte, Pendelton, Mattie Anna and Mary (twins), and
Bayless Hayden. It then moves through the history of Mattie Anna who married
John Smith Sheppard In El Paso, Illinois on Sept. 16,1874 and whose children
include Nettie Ruth and at least 9 others.

Dear friends,
Please keep your virus software up-to-date -- the viruses keep
getting more deadly. They mimic email addresses from people
you know attempting to get you to open an attachment -- then
it's out-of-the-bag and you're in a world of hurt!
W32.Beagle and new variants of W32.Mydoom are making their
rounds now. They delete files and otherwise crater your
computer.
***** Remember to keep backups of your files, just in case.
Also, remember to update your operating system software on a
regular basis (Windows Update).
sincerely,
Tom Cloud
Hi, I don't really have a clue (and I don't believe this is in my line), but
William is in the 1860 census at age 30. William was born in Tennessee. I
looked in 1840 census, although actual census was unavailable on line. Since in
the 1860 census William was in Sullivan County, these are the names of the
heads of household in 1840 Sullivan County, TN: Benjamin (on p.32), George
(p.32) and Henderson (p.47). It could be that William named his son after his
father (Henderson). I was hoping to get a gander at the census to see if
Henderson had a son in about the age 10 bracket, which would give a little more info,
although not precise. Good luck in your search.

Hi,
I am searching for any information on Henderson C. Cloud born 1856-7 in
Tennessee.
Mattie Jenette (Nettie) Pile or Pyle born in 1868 in Tennessee. They were
married 17 June 1889 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. They had 3 childred.
1. Leta Cloud b. 1891
2. James Cloud b. 1897
3. Verlie Cloud b.1902
Henderson's father and mother are William Sinclair Cloud and Emeline Myrers.
I really would like to find out who are William's parents and where they came
from.
Thank you, Joretta
