Anisa,
Do an advanced search in the Family Trees for Sarah Cloud with spouse name Wellborn. They had a daughter named Sarah Cloud Wellborn that married a J Tindall on the one with the database number 2659296. All of the search results seem to be the same family only a few differences in dates and a few names.

To michael18689(a)sbcglobal.net would be interested in learning more of what
you know about Sarah Wellborn Cloud and her Indian heritage. My 3 great
grandmother, Sarah, wife of William may have been Indian -- we do not know maiden
name. They were in Macon Co., Ga. It is thought that "an Indian woman" named
Betsy Cloud was their daughter. Thank you. Olive Ruth Nabors

I have a copy of "Genealogy of the Cloud Family in America showing how Mrs. Viola Elizabeth Cloud Turnbow of New Orleans, La. is a direct lineal descendant of a soldier John Cloud who took part in the American Revolution and was pensioned for his services as such on April 27, 1833." prepared by George C. H. Kernion, ex-Chancellor-General Natl. Society S. A. R. and Louisiana Genealogist. His description of the lineage is:
William Cloud of Calne
Jeremiah Cloud who married Elizabeth Bailey
William Cloud who married Elizabeth Hayes
William Cloud (name of wife not known)
John Cloud, b. 1740 on "New Light Creek" in NC. Volunteered from Wilkes Co, Ga. in 1776 and served as a private in the SC and GA troops. After the war he resided in Ga, SC, KY and LA. He was allowed a pension on an application (# believed to be 2-30935 - Veterans Administration, Washington, DC) executed April 27, 1833, at which time he resided in Natchitoches, LA. He died sometime between January 25 and February 1, 1840. It is said that he died at the home of his son, Noah Cloud in Natchitoches. He had married Elizabeth Lacey, a Cherokee Indian girl, and resided with her and his children: William, Noah, Jeremiah and Ann (who were then living in Livingston, KY in 1808. About the year 1824, John and his children (his wife being then dead) were residents of Ouachita Parish, LA. In 1854 son William was living in Bienville Parish, and the other children (Noah, Jeremiah and Ann) were living in Natchitoches Parish. It is positively asserted in the family that John Cloud!
's commission as a Soldier of the Revolution was signed by George Washington himself. That commission allegedly was passed to Noah, then to Ann (Annie Cloud Villare) who was living in Robeline, LA. John and Elizabeth Lacey had eight children: Annie, b. 2/7/1824, d. 8/3/1899; Frank; Lee (died of pneumonia, never wed); Jeremiah; William; Noah; Ruben; and Minerva who married a Mr. Cummins. John reportedly was six feet two inches tall and weighed 200 pounds and had one blue eye and one black eye. (Note by Al Cloud: there is slightly more to this account, but too lengthy to quote here. I suggest that any interested party follow up with the DAR to obtain the complete document.)
William, married twice: Rebecca Roe and Betsy Johnson. Children with Rebecca: Samuel Noah, m. (1) Jane Sanders; (2) Colon Littleton; Malissa, m. a Mr. Rushing; and Mary, m. Mr. Dickerson. Children with Betsy: Newton; Huey; Frank; Nancy, m. Mr. Blakely; Betty, m. Mr. Calhoun.
Samuel Noah Cloud, Sr.
Iniard Idle Cloud
Viola Elizabeth Cloud, m. James Jackson Turnbow.
Any data presented above in this response is quoted directly from the source described in the first paragraph of this response, and has not been researched or verified by me. I hope it will be helpful to the Cloud and Kernion families. Al Cloud.

Debra,
You are correct for too many reason to discuss here that a Native American would not appear as an "Indian" most likely on a U.S. Census prior to the 1900 U.S. Census unless living on an Indian Reservation.
