My mother is from Urbana, Illinois. Her parents names were Lee Roy Cloud and Nellie (Elena?) Kirby Cloud. I'm going back to Illinois next year with my mother when she celebrates her high school reunion from 1949 or 1950. Should be fun. Get to see relatives that I haven't seen in many years.
Okay, I really screwed up on that one. I hadn't had my second cup of
coffee when I logged on.

If you had a list of his children's names it might help me.
Our family is also from Chester County, PA. I do not know the Kelton area at all, could be an old name for parts of Chester County?

He was born about 1822 in the Kelton -Oxford area of Chester Co., PA. He married Mary Jane Timanus . They lived in Kelton and later moved to Wilmington, DL. They had 6 children. Anyone related to any of their children?
First of all, I want to apologize for those of you that may receive this multiple times as I have sent this to many other lists.
At one time, I had a URL I could go to calculate the birth of someone if you knew when they died. An example would be if the person died October 28, 1929 at the age of 77 years, 9 months, 25 days. If I'm not badly mistaken, you could also work it the other way by finding out exactly how old someone was when they died by putting in the full birth date and full death date.
Can anyone out there help me find this again?

Hi Sha Wayne:
My mother's Cloud line were early migrants to Madison County, AL; they were
from the Fairfield District (County) of SC. My grandfather was named John Ruben
Lee Cloud, he was born in 1854 in Madison Co., AL; his wife was named Fannie
Lacy Wall. My gr-grandfather was named John E. Cloud, he was born about 1814
in SC and d. 30 Jan 1865 as a civilian spy suspect in the Nashville Military
Hospital. Any connection to your CLOUD and LACY lines?

Hello, once again there is another worm\virus to be aware of. It is called W32.Swen.A@mm.
W32.Swen.A@mm is a mass-mailing worm that uses its own SMTP engine to spread itself through file-sharing networks, such as KaZaA and IRC, and attempts to kill antivirus and personal firewall programs running on a computer.
The worm can arrive as an email attachment. The subject, body, and From: address of the email may vary. Some examples claim to be patches for Microsoft Internet Explorer, or delivery failure notices from qmail.
W32.Swen.A@mm is similar to W32.Gibe.B@mm in function, and is written in C++.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.gibe.b@mm.html
This worm exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express in an attempt to execute itself when you open or even preview the message. Information and a patch for the vulnerability can be found at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS01-020.asp
Symantec Security Response has developed a removal tool to clean the infections of W32.Swen.A@mm.

Kay, Thanks for all the information on John CLOUD and especially his wife Betsy LACY.
Could you tell me where I can get a copy of the marriage and all the proof she was full blood Cherokee. I realized they had migrated before the trail of tears. I just do not know whare and I guess how to find these records. Also how would one search for people who had applied to teh Cherokee nation and had been denied?
I am descended from William's second marriage to Betsy Johnston.
Then the Natchitoches Parish connection: Huey Cloud m/
Goergian Beal dtr Martha Jane Cloud m/ James "Frank" Lowery.
Before his death Mr Herman Cloud of Goldonna had much Cloud history and with such great pride in his family shared what he knew with me.I would appreciate any help you can give me on these Cherokee roots we have.
William Cloud Mills born 1-6-1829 in Hawkins County, Tennessee, for some unknown reason, wrote out a handwritten form, giving his family history. William Cloud Mills was the son of Joseph (Joel) Mills and Mary "Polly" Cloud. William Cloud Mills died on 8-27-1896 in Lipscomb County, Texas. William Cloud Mills married Hannah Louisa Ogan.
Does anyone know who has the original or a copy of the original handwritten document. I have a partial transcribed copy?
Thank you for your assistance.

Regarding your message on the Cloud list. I have a great grandfather b. abt
1830-1834, was in TN during 1850 census, and married Eliza Mills in 1852,
Sneedville, TN. They moved to MO and he died their during the Civil War in
1862. Do you have anything in your dBase on him?

Hi Al:
I have some vital data on Ephraim King (b. Abt 1785), in either NC or VA. He
married Jane Harkins of SC and migrated to LCTN during the early 1800's. I
also have vital data on their children, including their son Andrew Jackson King,
my gr-gr grandfather. I also have considerable data on Andrew's family and
their descendants.
If the above Ephraim King (b. 1785) is the one that you mentioned, I don't
currently have information to the effect that he was ever married to Margaret
Drummond. However, the father of my Ephraim could have been an Ephraim King,
Sr.; and he could have been married to her; but I have no proof of that
relationship.
As I recall, there was an older single lady named Margaret King that lived
close to my Ephraim King during his early days in LCTN; that may be the Margaret
King that you have referenced. I once thought that Margaret might have been
Ephraim's mother; but a birth date of 1817 would be more likely a late sister,
niece or cousin of my Ephraim, rather than his wife.
Andrew Jackson King's children were all born between 1840 and 1860, so it is
unlikely that any of them would be migrating as early as 1845.
As for James Madison Cloud, that seemed to have been a popular name in my
Cloud line. I have a James M. Cloud, b. 1814, 1838 and 1846; also a James Madison
Cloud b. 1815, 1818 and 1855. No doubt some of these names are duplicates.
Which one would you like for me to check on?
Sorry I can't be of more help at this time.
Tom King, Sr.
Hi Betsy Arrington-Tsao:
Thanks for responding to my earlier message on the subject matter. Per your
suggestion, I went to the familytreemaker reference you sent and found a CLOUD
descent chart that looked awful familiar; it even included our children. I
assume that someone whom we gave a GEDCOM file regarding our Cloud line research,
submitted the data to the familytreemaker database. Thank goodness, they
omitted birth and marriage data on living persons.
I tried to print some of the information shown on the familytreemaker chart
for your family line, but found the page format to be too wide for normal
letter size printing. Somewhat the same problem as I created a few years ago when I
uploaded some of my Cloud-King data to the Internet at: > <A HREF="ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tn/lincoln/books/wagon/wag2star.txt">
> ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tn/lincoln/books/wagon/wag2star.txt</A>
