William Mills married Salley Strutton on June 30, 1802 in Wilkes County, NC. They had 4 sons and 3 daughters. Hezekiah Carr Mills, born 1809 married Rosa Wolfe, and William Riley Mills born 1814, married Mary Wolfe.
Hezekiah's and William Riley's brother, Joseph (Joel) Mills married Mary "Polly" Cloud on July 8, 1827. Joel and Polly had a son named William Cloud Mills, born January 6, 1829 in Hawkins County, TN and died August 27, 1896 in Lipscomb County, Texas.
William Cloud Mills hand wrote his family's genealogy. DOES ANYONE HAVE OR KNOW ANYONE THAT HAS A COPY OR THE ORIGINAL OF THE HANDWRITTEN DOCUMENT ? I have a retyped copy and would like to verify the validity of this document.
Thanks!
Larry Mills
I, too, would be interested in the manifest URL. Karenkayec(a)aol.com

In some of the Cloud information,Elisha Cloud is shown as the son of Jeremiah Cloud and is listed as marrying Sedonna Griffith. This source of this information is attributed to me.
This is the correct information: Elisha Cloud was the son of
a William Cloud and his wife Sarah. He had a brother Elijah with whom he is sometimes confused. Elisha was born c.1809 in SC or GA. He died in Brazos Co., Tx. March 1871. He married Ruth Collins, daughter of Wilson Collins and Martha Cunningham and the family lived in Macon Co., Ga. Elisha Cloud and most of his children came to
Brazos Co., Tx. in 1868. No records have been found that
Ruth came with him; apparently she died in Ga. Elisha Cloud and Ruth Collins had 11 children. Their son, William Wilson Cloud was my great grandfather, and William Wilson was executor of Elisha's will, filed here in Brazos Co.
William Wilson and Sarah Jane Smith had several children, one of which was William Elisha Cloud, my grandfather. This is the one who married Sedonia Griffith. This William Elisha Cloud was born Aug. 21, 1871. He died Nov. 23, 1938, here in Brazos Co., Tx.
Children of Elisha Cloud and Ruth Collins: Caroline or Catherine m. David Kleckley; Martha m. John (?) Bridges;
Sarah m. 1st Thomas F. Martin, 2nd W.W. Berry; William
Wilson m. 1st Sarah Jane Smith, 2nd Susan Elizabeth Smith English; James Washington m. Lucinda Martin; Alexandra killed in Civil War; Emily m. Henry Jones; Joseph released from capture after CW but no further records found; Jane Harriet m. Warren Lee Edge; Monroe S. m. Sarah Ann Crosby; Frances m. 1st John C. Smith, 2nd J. R. Pickett; 3rd D. F. Holland.
I am waiting Rex..... LOL

I should have mentioned in my other message that the birthday I have for
Elizabeth is about 1765 in Stokes County, North Carolina. I am still looking
for the marriage record, but I have been told that she and Richard Bondurant
married about 1789 in Rockingham County, NC.

Elizabeth died after 1835 in Hamilton County, Indiana. Her name appears in
that
county in connection with her husband's estate in 1831 and later. I don't
know
where the 1800 death date came from.

My ancestor was Elizabeth Cloud, b.about 1765, NC, died sometime
after 1835 in Hamilton Co.IN. She was married about 1789 to
Richard BONDURANT, descendant of a Huguenot refugee, who came
to Virginia in 1700. Is Elizabeth on your list of Clouds without parents?
