Shirley, Welcome to our list. I have spent many research hours on our Cloud family in Georgia and have posted the results of some of my research to this Cloud Mailing List.
There are three postings that should be of interest to you that relate to Mansico Cloud.
The easiest way to retrieve these postings is to run a query on the Cloud-L archives for the year 2001. In the Query box, type rex which is my nickname and you
will get 15 answers. Of these, I recommend that you read first the one posted on 11 Aug 2001 entitled CONNECTION: Decatur Co., GA/Edgefield Co., SC. This will give you a broad
overview of the Clouds in Decatur Co., GA.
Next, I would look at the one posted 22 Sep 2001 entitled MANSICO CLOUD. This shows all I know about the Mansico Cloud (b: c 1812) and includes his son Mansico (b: c 1851).
And last, I would look at the one posted the same date, 22 Sep 2001 entitled PHILLIP CLOUD. This shows all I know about the father of the MANSICO CLOUD (b: c 1846). This is
the Mansico Cloud that married Mary Rudd 01 May 1872 in Decatur County, GA.
I hope that the above postings will be of help to you and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have about their content. Also, if you have problems running the
"rex" query, please let me know and I will try to help further.
GOOD LUCK Ralph Byron "Rex" Sanders

Hi Ruth,
I happened to be doing geneaology research at the Texas State Library in downtown Austin near the Capitol a couple of years ago. The librarian asked me the surnames I was searching for and one of them was Cloud (my line is from England). She was very surprised because someone else was also there researching their Indian Cloud ancestory and they had found a portrait of an Indian Chief named Cloud. It might be worth your time,to pay them a visit if you live nearby.
Good luck in your quest.
