Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I have searched on various surnames and have been impressed!

I have some documentation, RB, and some is a good assumption. Eileen Cloud
Jones's death certificate names her parents, Joseph Sebastian Cloud and Mary
Frances Evans. My father, Joseph Austin Jones, Eileen's son, was named for
his grandfather, Austin Cloud. Austin Cloud was married to Mary Ruff, her
father was Sebastian Ruff, documentation , Will Book "C", pp. 125, 132,
1838, Lowndes County, Alabama. I don't have a document that shows Joseph
Sebastian Cloud as the son of Austin Cloud but it appears that he was also
named for his grandparents.
Do you wish documentation further back?

Am going to try again. I'm looking for information on my great grandparents,
John H. Cloud m. Anna Elizabeth Chandler. Don't know what year, probably
1884 since first child, A. Harlan Cloud was born 25 Nov. 1885. Anna Elizabeth's
parents were Amor Chandler (the A. ?) and Rebecca Perkins. John's father
was possibly Nathan or Nathaniel and he was born either in New Castle DE.
or Chester PA??????? John died in Morton, PA sometime after 1917. Any information
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Debbi Cloud
To whomever the shoe fits,
I too would appreciate being removed from any distribution lists such as political, NRA, school prayer advocacy, etc, whether liberal, conservative or middle of the road.
I am a believer in the first ammendment, but I joined this group to enjoy geneological research and to give or recieve family support if or when needed.
Thank you, Gary Cloud

Rhonda,
I couldn't make the addresses work this morning either, but I popped into
them just fine last night. So, just now I went to yahoo.com and I did a
search on Chester genealogy. Yahoo brought up one major site. I clicked on
it and it was the right place. The home window says, "Welcome to Chester
County Genealogy?" The address that pops up at the top of the site is:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~pacheste/chester.htm
From there go to ships lists on the left hand side of the page and click on
it. The site is really good for doing searches. If I remember correctly,
you can even search for passenger names and it will take you to the ships the
names are found on.
When I tried to go from the home page to the ships list myself just now, I
got a message I've never seen before; it said that there was a traffic jam on
the information highway. Perhaps other Clouds are trying to get to the site,
too. (And could this account for why an address that worked perfectly well
for me last night won't work this morning?) Let me know if you cannot even
get to the homepage; maybe I could find a way to send a message to the
webmaster to tell him/her to contact you with advice.
