Clouds who voted in Hawkins County, 8 Mar 1790 for Rep. to Congress.
Benjamin Cloud of Hawkins County, TN had a son, Benjamin Franklin Cloud,
born 8 Nov., 1802 in Hawkins County. Benjamin Franklin became a farmer
in Claiborne County, TN. He became Deputy County Court Clerk,
1816-1836; Circuit Court Clerk, 1836-1844; and member of the House, TN
31st General Assembly, 1855-1857, representing Claiborne County.
Benjamin Franklin Cloud married (1st) Elizabeth M. Shultz on Dec. 29,
1845, in Claiborne County. Children were Alexander M. and Benjamin F.
Cloud. He married (2nd) Nancy Middleton on May 14, 1852, in Claiborne
County. Children were Mary E. and Cassack C. Cloud. He died on Oct.
31, 1880, and is buried in Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Tazewell,
