Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

MANY FRIENDS WILL GREET COUPLE ON GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Hundres of friends and relatives, in person or by message, will greed Mr and Mrs. James C. Clothier tommorrow at the home of Mr and Mrs Adolph Esparcia, 930 Church St, Oakdale, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniverary.
The children are:
Sam Clothier; Stockton, Mrs. Anny Dolan, Oakland; Mrs Iva Smith, Turlock; Ed Clothier, Oakland; Mrs Gladys Esparcia; Oakdale; VanClothier, Los Angeles; Jame C. Clothier Jr, Los Angeles and Orrion Clothier, Oakland.
The grandchildren; Mrs. Alma Deicke, and Helen Clothier, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Clothier; Jack Dolan and Mrs Jean Merrill, son and daughter of Mrs. Annye Dolan; Elmer, Gerald and Pat Esparcia, sons of Mr and Mrs A. Esparcia, Douglas and Donald Clothier, sons of Mr and Mrs. Van Clothier; Warren E.Clothier, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Clothier.
The great grandchild is Nancy Ann Deicke, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Diecke.
Mrs. Clothier's only sister, Mrs. Mary Tower Burnham of Stockton will be present.
On December 6, 1882, James Clothier, who was born at Gold Springs, Tuolumne County, claimed his bride, Anneta Louise Tower, born in Salt Spring Valley, Calaveras County, the daughter of the late Pliney Tower, pioneer miner of California and Nevada.
The marriage was soluminized in Milton, Calaveras County, by the late Louis Beyser, justice of the peace. Attendents were Miss Adeline Sperry and Oscar Wolcott. The couple lived in Calaveras County until 1887, when they moved to Southern California, making their home near Santa Ana.
In 1893 they returned to Copperopolis, Calaveras County, where they reared a family of eight children. In October 1917,the Clothiers went to Oakland to live, where several of their children now reside.
