Thanks for your reply. I have actually found the name of the Clothier I was looking for. He was William H. Clothier the famous cinematographer in Hollywood. He flew B-17s as pilot and also shot the film for "The Memphis Belle" documentary. If you uncover any info on this guy, I would sure appreciate it.
Good Luck,
Robert

My uncle, Arthur Wilson Clothier, was a pilot in WWII who died in a training accident in Texas. I'm not sure what kind of plane he flew. His father is Robert Clarkson Clothier, son of Clarkson Clothier, son of Caleb Clothier, son of Caleb Clothier, son of James Clothier, son of Henry Clothier, who came to North America in 1713 from Street, England.

I recently learned that my great grandfather's first wife was Estela Clother, the daughter of Richard and Jane Clother. My great-grandfather's name was John H. Bixby. He married Estela Clother in 1874 in St. Croix County, WI. According to the 1880 census, by that time the entire family was living in Barron County, WI along with children Ornetta Bixby, 5, LH Bixby, 3, and Oscar Bixby, 1. The 1880 census states that Richard Clother was a printer from Canada; his wife, Jane, was from NY as was their daughter, Estela. I would like to find out more about this family...especially if John H. Bixby and Estela had more children. I'd also like to know what happened to Estela Clother Bixby. You see, John H. Bixby married for a second time in 1896 in Washburn County, WI., so, obviously, first wife Estela either died or they were divorced.I would appreciate any information on this family c. 1880-1896.
