Hello Cheri and Colleen,
Caleb & Tryphenia (Spencer) Closson are my great great grandparents through their son Charles C. Closson. I have slightly different information from what you posted. I have Dwight born 1856 and Dewitt born 1853. I have Caleb b. 1800. Tryphena was staying with her daughter and son in law, Susan and Thomas Rice, in Fargo North Dakota when she died. My source is her death certificate that I have. It appears that Caleb had three not four wives. It appears that some of the information both of you have came from the book "The Josiah Closson Family of New England" The author did an amazing and outstanding job of collecting information and writing the book on the Josiah line. At the time he was researching it was difficult if not impossible to verify the information he was given. It appears that much of his data on the Minnesota Closson's came from a woman that married into the Closson's. Unfortunatly much of her information is incorrect. A hobby of mine is taking an item of informa!
tion then searching for documation of this item. That is how I found the death for Typhenia. If I can be of any help to either of you please contact me.
