The book "The Josiah Closson Family of New England" states that Nathan married Sally 'maiden name unknown' about 1741. Their first child Abigail was born about 1756 15 years later and the rest of their children were born about 2 years apart. 15 years after marriage for 1st child seems quite a long time. Other sources state Sally name was Sarah Keene? I would welcome hearing from those interested in this mystery.

I am looking for the parents of James Closson, b. c. 1801, Bucks County, PA, d. 12/22/1875 and buried in the Doylestown Cemetery, Bucks Co., PA. In "Micheners in America" Anna Shaddinger states that James is the son of Conrad Closson but does not cite sources for that statement. Does anyone have information on James or John Conrad Closson?
Thanks

Thanks for responding Bob--I just want basic information. The earliest ancestor I have is James S. Closson, who may be a descendent of Peter. So I would like some basic information on Peter (and his brothers) Anything you could provide so that I might connect James S and Peter would be helpful.

Hi Bob!
Thanks for replying. I am a descendent of James S. Clossin or Closson. I recently received information that this James S. may have been a descendent of Peter Closson, a possible brother of Josiah and Richard. These gentlemen were New Englanders if I understand it correctly. Researchers on our particular CLAWSONS, CLOSSINS, AND CLOSSONS, such as Arlene Rainelli and Andy Clawson continue to search for more ancestors of the Pennsylvanian clan. I appreciate your offer of info. You may contact me thru the bulletin board or directly at missiehillie(a)yahoo.com

Happy New Year, Mr. James and hello from Alaska. I am definitely still interested in the information you may have on the Pennsylvania line descended from Josiah Closson. I have added another 5 people to my list that would love to have the info as well. Myself, Andy Clawson, John Post and Arlene Rainelli seem to be trying to trace the Clossons in PA and prior. Some of us are descended from Josiah, and some from his (possible) brothers Richard and Peter. Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated and shared happily.
