Hi Closson Listers,
I am starting to enter the data Bob James sent me June 21, 1999 on the
descendants of Josiah Closson. I notice that it has for Caleb's son Charles
that he was born 1851. Since he appears on the 1850 census I think he was
born before the 1850 census was taken. My family tradition has it that he
was born 30 Mar 1850. I do not have documentation of the 30 Mar but since he
is on the 1850 census I feel he was not born in 1851.
Those of you who are interested may want to change Charles birth year to
1850 or to 30 Mar 1850 as you see fit.
Regards,
Charles great grand-daughter

Hi Closson Listers,
I am new to the Caleb Closson b: 1800 Canada d: 1884 Minnesota connection. I
have some MN Land Patents for Clossons that I need some help to connect to
this Caleb Closson family.
I have MN Land Patents for:
Albert Closson in Todd County that he signed 4 Jun 1895. Could this be the
Albert b: 1824 NY d: 1910 MN that is son of Caleb & Tryphosa (Spencer)
Closson?
Albert Closson Junior in Todd County that he signed 1 Jun 1898. Could this
be the same person as above or perhaps his son?
Charles P. Closson in Waseca County that he signed 1 Jun 1859.
Melzer Closson in Todd County that he signed 30 Jun 1876.
Willard Closson in Todd County that he signed 1 Apr 1873.
I am looking forward to sharing my odds and ends such as these with you
folks.
