I'm surprised at your posting as I am a Tuite married to a Close. I am descended from Andrew Tuite born Cavan 1835, who emigrated to Wellington, NSW in 1859. My wife is Susanne Close who comes from Young, NSW and is descended from John Close, born Lincolnshire in 1816 and was sent to NSW in 1839.

As we wrap up another year of genealogy research let us think back to our successes and brickwalls. Some of the above lists have been very quiet this past year. Let's start out another year by letting others know who your brickwalls are. It could be someone on the list has the answer for you but if we don't know the question how can we give an answer.
Make some posts to the list or lists you are on and try to keep your email address current. Just these past few weeks I have found 3 new cousins because when they were doing a search they came across a post I had made several years ago. When posting, try to give as much information about the individual you are researching that you have (names, dates, places, etc.).
As you get together for the holidays with family, ask some questions about their ancestry and enjoy yourselves.
