Just thought I'd take this time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I'd like to pass along the following link for a special Christmas Card which someone in turn passed on to me.
View the beautiful Christmas card prepared by students at Ashland University.

Hope everyone has had some success this past year in knocking down brick walls and that many more walls will crumble during the coming year.

I am researching the Close family of St Lawrence County New York. John Close was born in about 1796 in Antrim,Ireland. He emigrated to Canada and settled in Mountain, Grenville, Ontario. John and wife Catherine had John, William, Annie and there may be more siblings. John is buried with daughter Annie in Holy Cross cemetery in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada. He died May 18, 1880.
Son John married Margaret Brown and emigrated to Colton/Parishville, New York. Son William married Mary McLaughlin and emigrated to the same area. The brothers ran a 300 acre farm.
If anyone has a connection to more of the family please contact me.
Margaret
