i've recently started doing some family research on the clore family.
my grandmother's mom (or my great-grandmother) was effie clore born in culpeper, virginia in the early 1900s (march 19, 1904 is what's printed in her obit). she married frank strother (also of virginia). they moved to sharon, connecticut, most likely in the late 1920s or early 1930s. my grandmother and both of her siblings were born in sharon, ct.
i've found many interesting things about the clore family, but i'm having the issue of actually connecting effie to anyone else in the clore family because i cant seem to find records of her anywhere (i find other effie clores, from other places...but not the one i want). she doesnt seem to appear in any censuses i look at, not even in the ssdi. perhaps i'm overlooking something, though.
unfortunately, my grandmother doesnt recall/know anything about her maternal grandparents which would probably help a lot.
thanks for anything you have to offer!
