Rebekiah,
The line you describe is also ours and my sister has already done quite a bit work on it, although we were unable to go beyond Elijah Clore (meaing verification and documentation...family word has it to Hans Michael Clore).
Also note the name within the family itself has taken on several different spellings. Klaar, Clore, Cloar, Cloer (the one my side has). We have found relatives of this same line spelling it differently which is also what my grandmother told me when I was 14 or so.
go to our family website Smith/Fisher Genealogy tree & scroll down to surnames, click and it will take you to a webpage with all the surnames.
If you have something to add, please contact us using the Guest Book and also sign it even if you don't.

Some of the Germans left the village of Gemmingen in July of 1717. That fact was recorded in the parish death register there. They came over aboard the ship "Scott" and arrived in Virginia about January 1717/18 (Old Style/New Style). Rotterdam is in Holland not in England.
