Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I belong to another genealogy email group called the Germanna Newsletter
which deals with those persons whose initial origins came from Va in the
Germanna towns which Govenor Spotswood started. They are having a "Germanna
East Tennessee Descendant Reunion". Clore is one of the Germanna names from
the 2nd Germanna colony. I believe Cloer (a derivitive of Clore) is also
related but have yet to prove it.
I have pasted the email I got this morning about this reunion if anyone is
interested in attending. Unfortunately I will not be able to although I
would love to go. The Clore surname still needs to be added to the list.
Does anyone have any Clores or Cloers which they have been able to prove
related to these Germanna ancestors? If so, please let myself and George
Durman know.
Bernice Raymond

I have attempted to keep the web site pages current with the names of
Germanna families at the tops of the pages. As John Blankenbaker
discusses more and more families in his Notes, I have been adding them.
Below is a current list of all the families we have for the East Tennessee
Germanna families. If there are still some missing, don't hesitate to let
us know and we'll add them: (REMEMBER, descendants of all these
families are invited to the Reunion, plus any other families we may have
omitted.)

Hello again,
What a great idea. I haven't read them all but I know most everyone I e-mailed to was related some how . I tried your e-mail address but it didn't go though so thought I would try this. Talk to you later & have a nice day. Does this mean everyone on the board is related one way or the other?
Karen
In my search for my Clore ancestors I came across a web site called BJs Place. She also has on her website Eight Generations of the Clore/Glore/Klaar Family. She said that Michael Clore came on the ship Rotterdam July 1717. This may answer your question. Visit her website for she has done alot of research. Nancy Clore Dexter
I am looking for my great great grandfather Clore whose son was called Captain Clore or Joseph H. Clore. . I need to find his name and birth information to trace my ancestors back to the German colony in 1717. My grandfather Walter J. Clore said he was of German Dutch background. My grandfather lived in Tecumseh Oklahoma then in Tulsa. My father's name is Walter J. Clore Sr. and lives in Prosser, Wash. where I was born in 1937 and raised. Thanks, Nancy Ellen Clore Dexter
