thank you merideth clopton
My most recent Clopton ancestor is my great-grandmother, Mary Hester
(Mollie) Clopton, born in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee in
1850, married Jesse Marshall Bartlett in Navarro County, Texas in 1872,
died in Rice, Navarro County, Texas in 1928. I have a web page with
pictures and information on her and her descendants:
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~bartlett/clopton-mary-hester.htm
I think these folks are her ancestors:
Benjamin Michaux CLOPTON (1828-1900)
Mary Elizabeth MCLIN (1827-1850)
Walter CLOPTON Jr. (c1785-1840)
Martha Ann DUFFER (1808-1862)
Walter CLOPTON (1755-c1835)
Eleanor RANDOLPH (?-c1835)*
Benjamin CLOPTON (c1732-c1790)
Agnes MORGAN (?-1809)
Walter CLOPTON (c1687-after1758)
Mary JARRATT (?-?)
William CLOPTON (c1655-c1728/1733) (the immigrant)
Ann BOOTH (1647-1716)
*I am particularly interested in Walter Clopton's marriage to Eleanor
Randolph. I have not found any good authority for it and am not clear on
which Virginia family of Randolphs was hers. She is said to have been a
cousin of Thomas Jefferson.

I am researching the family of James and Elizabeth ( born 1872 - died 1908)

Great idea!
My name is Wanda and I've been researching about 15 years. Of the 15 years I
have been searched 13 of those (off and on) trying to find the parents of
Jane P. CLOPTON and her sister Martha P 'Patsy' CLOPTON. Jane married James
H. MILLER of Roane County,TN...they married 2 January 1802 (place unknown).
Martha married Terrence MCAFFREY 12 July 1805 in Knox County, TN.
Researching CLOPTON, MCAFFREY, MILLER.WYLY.
