Hello,
I do not know where my branch of the Clooney's settled in America. I am from England and have only managed to trace them over here and back to Ireland. I do have lots of information on the English Clooney's.
On a different note: Kay I would really like to compare trees, please email me on s_clooney(a)yahoo.co.uk and we can sort something out. Thanks.

It would be very helpful if you could tell me what part of N. America the immigrants settled. To be honest, the countys in Ireland aren'trelavant unless you are seeking Irish and British records. I do have quite a lot of information on Clooney/Cluney(same family) in the US and some in Canada as well as somewhere in my files, a record of repatriation of land to John Clooney after the revolution in Ireland

Hi, Too long? If you're like me and many others, sometimes we nees to take a break from grave searches. Your post didn't have much info but the Irish line on Cluney/Clooneys(most are connected) live many places throughout Ireland and sometimes England for the same reason we all move today. Jobs, marriages, inheritance and in the case of Ireland, expropriation in the name of the British Crown.Southern Ireland is like New England, eveyone is a neighbor. Yes, some of mine lived in Offaly, Wexford, Clare and Waterford. Just before the massive emigration, many found themselves in Cork.cluney50(a)aol.com is my email
