My great great grandmother Catherine Clooney Hogan immigrated from Kilcormac
parish, Kings County (now Offaly) Ireland to Dundee, Scotland finally in
1856 to Granville, New York. I have very little on her. From her childrens
baptismal records in Ireland her maiden name is seen spelled Clooney/ Cluny/
Clunin. She may have had siblings named Anne, James and Pat. These were
sponsors at some of her childrens baptisms. If anyone has any information on them,
I would appreciate them sharing it with me. Thanks Margo

I am still looking for information on James Patrick Cluney b. Feb., 1854 m.
Mary T. Leahey b. April 1864 in Baltimore, MD, USA. James was the son of
Robert Cluney b. abt. 1824 and Margaret Fallon b. abt 1833 as per US Census
records. Robert and Margaret were both born in Ireland, no other
information on these two. James' siblings were Robert Jr. b. 1863,
Elizabeth b. 1861, Mary Jane b. 1866, and Judy (or Julia) b. 1873. My
grandmother Julia G. Cluney told me that the Julia was an old family name,
but in my research I have found as many Cluneys with the name as well as
Leaheys, so this can not be proven. Any help would certainly be
appreciated.
