Hi Folks --
Just wanted all of you to know you might experience problems in posting to
any of the Rootsweb lists. Rootsweb is in the process of upgrading
equipment and I'm just trying to notify subscribers to lists of which I am
listowner. As always, Rootsweb is trying to make it better for all of us. ;-)
Please read below.

I plan to host an All Cloer Descendants Reunion on July 5th, 2003. That is all direct and collateral lines of Jacob and Lucretia Cloer of North Carolina, Missouri, and Arkansas, which covers everyone from their oldest child Margaret Cloer Jones of Missouri down through and including to my dad Cornelius Ducler Cloer, who went by D.C. in his adult life and Duce as a young boy, of Kennedy, Millport and Pine Grove, Alabama, where the old Cloer home place was located; and he also lived in Louisiana and Mississippi, but buried in Searcy, Arkansas, the youngest son of John Baldwin Cloer, Jr's ten offspring who had children, as Uncle Meggie had none; however, Uncle Meggie's first wife's child, Florence Hataway Owens, by her second husband is most welcome to attend, for she is the one who put me in touch with Harold Cloer of New Mexicao, Samuel Franklin Cloer's grandson, who I'm sure would also be delighted to meet her. Any other close family friend is also welcome, but I'd like an !
RSVP by e-mail screee143(a)bellsouth.net. The reunion will be held on Saturday July 5, 2003, 10:00 until -- bring a folding chair and a covered dish: sandwiches, desserts, potato salad, chips, dips, veg. trays, etc. There is a Kentucky Fried Chicken right across the street. I'll furnish the beverages. There is parking across the street and down the street one block west. The address is 625 Choctaw Road, Jackson, MS one block south of Meadowbrook Road and one and a half blocks east of State Street just off I-55 to the West. I live directly behind a shopping center and my street is a dead-end of only two blocks long. Can't miss it. The location is about three or four red lights from Interstate I-55. I will be 60 on July 4th next year, so this is p-e-r-f-e-c-t timing to try to get all these descendants together, as they now hail from the East Coast with Bobby Barnett and his wife in the Elisha Cloer line in North Carolina and Aunt Orphia Shackleford in Titusville, Fla!
. in the John William Cloer line to the West Coast with Tom Cloer another in the Elisha line and from Texas with Iva Jean Jorgenson in the George Washington Cloer line to Betty Price Allen in the Elijah Cloer line plus those in Houston related to Mary Ann Cloer Black to as far North as the Virginia Clore's, especially the Robson, who have been so helpful to me and beyond. We probably have relatives in all 50 states and I know of at least one, Debbie Taft, who lives in both the States and the Middle East and who is related on both the Cloer side and the Miller side (Elizabeth Caledonia Miller Cloer was my grandmother; and Grandma Cloer's , brother Samuel Miller, my great uncle is Debbie's great grandfather; plus I have just recently met my first Miller relative, Billy Lawrence, with whom I share a greatgrandfather-John Miller). Bring pictures of families and especially older relatives to share memories with everyone. I look forward to hearing from many that I've never he!
ard from before. Thanks Harold! Tell Martha I send a JUMBO HELLO! Sue Cloer Creel, daughter of Ducler Cloer and Verna Shackleford Cloer, descendants of John Baldwin Cloers both Sr. and Jr. and Jacob Cloer and Lucretia, also Michael Cloer (the one thought deceased early but was not deceased just displaced because of the early demise of his father and transplanted in North Caroline with other descendants of Hans Michael, especially an Aunt of young Michael's who relocated from Virginia to Iredell Co. North Carolina), John George Cloer and Hans Michael Cloer of Virginia (we are 99 and 1/2% sure).
