Carolyn,
John F.Cloer is buried in the Liberty Baptist Cemetery at Tennga, Ga. (Murray County). He was born March 22, 1826 and died March 16, 1916. He had several children (you probably have this info) Mary Catherine, George Merit,
James C., William M.(Could have been called Mel), Annie D.
(died young I think), John M. The info I have says all the children were born in Macon County, N.C.

I believe that James C. was called Cass, but I am not positive. My Aunt told me yesterday that her Mother talked of someone called Elijah and Cass, but she was not sure who they were. My James C. had a spine problem that caused his death in 1906.
Is your John Cloer buried in Cleveland, Tn?

My sister, Karen Wills & I have just updated this page.
If you confirm that this is your line let us know. Also if you see more you can add; we would be willing to exchange information.
While you're at it take a look at our other surnames and see if you aren't related to some of them also. We have found that quite a few people are related to both sides of our family since both lines came from that general area (Bradley, McMinn, & Polk Co TN; also GA & NC).
Looking forward to hearing from you.
