Yes , you're correct, it's Joseph Benedict Clinton. Sorry about the mistake, I've been on this computer too long today!!! I'd like to share what info I have and I have a lot on the Clintons. I don't have much info on her, but I can help you on the Clinton side. I only have her as born 8 March 1764, died at Andes NY 4 March 1810. She and Joseph married 13 March1784. Let me know if I can be of further help. Lois Clinton Kessler

Hi Vickie, the John Clinton you mentioned coming to Brownsville/Haywood County from Scotland was my ggg great-grandfather. I was actually researching the McClure side of the family in Scotland when I came across your post. I wonder if I could obtain a copy of the journal from you or maybe you could just direct me towards it online. Thanks in advance.

The John Clinton you mentioned here was my grandfather's great-grandfather. I am from Brownsville and was actually researching the McClure side of the family in Scotland when I came across your post. I was wondering if I could obtain a copy of the notes from you. My aunt has done lots of research but this would be a new and meaningful discovery. Thanks in advance.
