Hello Chris. I have been studying the Clinton family for awhile searching for the families from Orange co N.C. I know of one family other than mine. Matthias Clinton had paid taxes on land in N.C. He has three sons and i have in my possession a book on several Clinton families. I have been trying to connect my family to Matthias Clinton because the name repeats several generations and the fact they all moved to Tenn about the same time. contact me if you would like more information. Amy

My wife’s Clinton line may fit in here. Her great-grandmother was a Lettie Clinton (1890-1962). Lettie was a daughter of a William Thomas Clinton (1831 – aft 1890). He married a Jane Batson. Lettie was born in Polk Co., AR and died in Servier Co., AR. William Clinton may have been born in NC. Other children of William and Jane Clinton include: Robert, Texean, Will Jr., Jasper N., John(nie), Georiga, Emma, Curtis E., and Mattie (married a Wiser). I have not been able to find any further info on William Thomas Clinton such as exact death date or place, nor have I been able to find out who his parents and siblings are.

My Clinton's were not wealthy people, so there are not lots of wills, store records, etc. to help find them.

Kim Hello it is me Amy. this is where I think my John Clinton born 1815 fits into this family. John's father would have been born about this 1790s time. We have no idea what his name would be. But John's father also disappears by 1820 or we are just unable to locate him. Could I have the information on this family if you have any? thank you!!
