Under title "Marine Orders", NY Times Aug 1921 has a Lt Col T M Clinton to Marine Barracks, Quantico.
Appears he's also listed in the 1910 Military & Naval Census in Hampton Roads VA, as Thomas M Clinton,Captain, age 37, PoB NC, assigned to USS Virginia.

George H. Clinton, 45, of 415 Indiana street died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday (Jan 27, 1971) in Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Ohio where he had been a patient for three years. He had been ill nine years, but death was unexpected.
He served as a pharmacist mate third class in the Navy during World War II and had been employed by Armco Steel.
Born March 19, 1925, in Zanesville, (Muskingum County) Ohio, he was the son of Mrs. Katherine Bolden Clinton and George Washington Clinton who died May 12, 1966.
Surviving in addition to his mother are one uncle, Louis H. Bolden of 434 Cliffwood avenue and two Aunts, Mrs. Gladys Gibson of 395 G Indiana street and Miss Anna Clinton of 402 B Indiana street.
Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Putnam chapel of Bolin funeral home. Burial will be held in Woodlawn cemetery.

Lucy Clinton Hill, 63, widow of Wm. W. Hill, colored, both former residents of West Main street in this city (Zanesville, Ohio) died Sunday (April 3, 1921) at Xenia at the home of her daughter, following an illness of a complication of diseases.
The body arrived in this city at 9:30 last night over the Baltimore and Ohio railroad and was taken to the Bateman and Mangold Funeral parlors.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the St. Paul A. M. E. church, with Rev. Gazaway officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

The funeral of Miss Ella Victoria Clinton, third daughter of Martin Clinton will take place from the Second M. E. Church tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock. The A. M. E. church is undergoing repairs and the Trustees of Second Street have kindly granted the use of their auditoium for this mournful occaion.
Miss Clinton was twenty-two years of age and a remarkably gifted young woman. She graduated from the Colored High School in the class of 1883 with distinguished honors, and was regarded by her teachers as a most promising scholar.
The deceased secured a position in the Covington, Ky., schools last year and proved herself an earnest teacher.
>From there she went to Hannibal, Missouri to accept a position, and during the month of February contracted a severe cold. Her malady developed into quick consumption, and four weeks ago the sick lady returned to her fathers home on North Third street to die. She continued to decline rapidly, and yesterday morning at half past six o'clock she fellasleep..
Mrs. Lucy Hill, of Coshocton, Ohio, a sister of the deceased lady, arrived this morning to attend the funeral.
