Yes...I know we have Eagans/Egans as shirttail relatives, as my now deceased relatives thought. I took photos of all the swamp area grave stones I could find and posted the info. to the NY Rootsweb site. If you would like photos, Clohessy rings a bell as one of the ones I saw...I can search for it, scan, and send to you.

My books says that Mr. Henry Esmond Clinton married first Sept. 25, 1908 Mary T. Eagan. 3 sons were born to this marriage: T. Powers; Harry E., and Lawrence A. In March 1915 Mrs. Clinton died, and Mr. Clinton married on July 19, 1917, Genevieve Otterson of Troy, NY. It gives no more information that that.
Coincidence, I have ancestors buried in the swamp area of st. joseph's cemetery - Clohessy.
best wishes, joan howe

Almost forgot to mention...the grave to which I refer is in St. Joseph's cemetary in Troy in that swampy area that's now overgrown and inaccessible. The stone is fairly large in quite intact...I believe the dates of those buried range from the mid-late 1800s.

Hello:
It's been quite a while since I've been into our genealogy, but I noticed your post after a recent search. I'm not sure how common the Otterson name was in/around Troy, but I have some Ottersons buried with known ancestors for whom I can't figure out the relationship.
The name Eva Otterson is what I have now (I don't have all my notes handy), and I believe she was buried with some of my Ryan/Myers/Keenan relatives. My recently deceased Great Aunt only was able to tell me that Eva Otterson was my ggrandmother, Anna Keenan's niece...her mother was a sister with the surname Otterson. Anna Keenan also had a brother James Keenan and Esther Keenan Donovan.
Would any of these names appear in your records? I can fish around for grave/death dates, etc. if needed.

Since I have given my papers to my nephew, I can't help you much. Was your
Jenkins Clinton married to a woman by the name of Basa or Bacy? My late
Husband was a dec of those two. I was never able to find out much about this
Jenkins Clinton. There were a few working on this line, story goes that
Jenkins was son of William Clinton who married Aaron and Alabeth Freeman's
dau Elizabeth(she was his second wife) Jenkins was from first marriage. I do
remember this Jenkins was born in Mo. Can't give you any dates. I will try
to cntact my nephew and see what he has. I don't even have any of the
addresss that I corresponded with. If you go up on Freeman at Roots web, I
am sure you will find someone still looking up there.
Sorry I could not be more help but without any papers its hard to remember
it all. I started the hunt long ago. As I had no children gave the bulk of
work to him after my Husband passed. He was dec of Aron and Alabath thro
their William Freeman who married Rachel Jane James. Their son William Jr
married Bacy Jane Clinton who dau Rachel was my Husband's mother. Hope I
didn't confuse you as there are so many Jenkins and Williams and they just
kept repeating the same names over and over.
Happy hunting.

I`m sorry I didn`t put where they were from besides Douglas Co. MO. some in Crawford and Texas Co. and Ozark Co. in Missouri. some of the older Clinton`s came from Bucombe Co. North Carolina with Aaron and Alabeth Freeman.
My great grandmother Lucinda Jane Freeman was a daughter od Daniel and Sarah Tayloe Freeman, and Daniel was son of Aaron and Alabeth.
Would like any information about Jenkins Riley Clinton son of Augustus born abt 1847 Douglas co. mo. and Lucinda Jane Freeman, he was born 14 Feb 1875 a twin to my grandmother Sarah T. Clinton, I don`t know what happen to him. Thanks Vickie
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Joanne. I read many of her
postings and could see she was very dedicated in her search for her
ancesters, especially Zachariah. She always thought there was a link to him
and Ezekial. I have only been researching for the last year, and have read
many of her postings. I wish I had had the chance to share some info with
her.
I have no siblings for the Ezekial born in 1790 except his hildren and his
wife Elizabeth Wiatt. I have that the older Ezekial was his father, and then
James as his father. I plan on going to Hopkins Ky. next year to try and
find info on Ezekial and the rest of the family. Has anyone ever been there
and done research on them. Would love to get any help you can give. Also
would love to know more about the Elizabeth Wiatt that Ezekial was married
to. My info says she was from Va. and that is all I have on her.
Again, my prayers go out to Joannes family.
Linda

Joanne Truman--was truly a marvel- We loved exchanging family stories.
Thank goodness my mother was well into her 90's but remembered Joanne's ggf
as a child-at the 1904 (I think) World's Fair in St. Louis-! So that really
made things seem in not so far a distance in time.......of course, that was 10
years ago-.
I have most of the Clinton information that Joanne had as we exchanged back
and forth-so if you need/ or find anything you think she would have been
interested in-----will be happy to share.
I don't really have time now-due to an office I hold to go through all the
gene. things--but still try to "keep up"
Janice, as you responded-and know how Joanne and I 've traced and traveled
to find these-----I'll be happy to give you my email-it's _mleo5(a)aol.com_
(mailto:mleo5@aol.com) but please put your name in the title --like you
did Joanne's. And she had a very nice obit-her daughter sent the site to
me from the Houston paper to see on-line.
Regards,
Margaret

Hello---Clinton researchers--
I've been searching for years--My ggf was Thomas Zachariah Clinton-his
father John B. Clinton of Jackson, Co. Ill, and Joanne Truman------our "cousin"
whom I've shared research with for over 10 years----just lost her battle to
cancer this month.
Her link with me was her ggf was TZ's brother, John Randolph-- we had
many of the same stories and our research goes back to Hopkins Co. KY-Zachary
and/or Ezekial Clinton- but we also had stories from the family that they
were from the Clinton's of NY- I see you have Ezekiel B in VA---
Did either of you ever have contact with Joanne?
If we could be of the same ones-----I'm happy to share-their father, John B
was. married to Mary Ann Davis-
Betty Lipe used to be in touch with Joanne, too- I do believe it was her
husbands line---but for years as well.
Thanks.
Margaret in PA
