Hi John did you get your info from the Clinton Family of Connecticut article
?
I also am of the Clinton family and have copied part of this article.
Jan. 1915 pgs 50 to 59: and Apr 1915 pgs 162 & 163 : pgs 200 & 201. I'm not
sure where I was researching, but it could have been at either Allen County
Library in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
or at Lib. of Mich in Lansing MI. But it appears that I copied just the
pages that pertained to my specific line.
I'd be willing to see if the names you are searching are on these pages.
My line is ( Lawrence 1: Thomas 2: Simeon 3:Anson 4: Simeon 5: Charles E 6:
Burton 7: James Howard 8: me Janet Carolyn Clinton VanWyck.
Let me know if we are related as I'd be willing to share.
Janet

Can someone tell me where I might obtain a copy of "The Clinton Family of Connecticut," by Mrs. E.J. Clinton. This was apparently two articles published in the Jan. & July 1915 issues of the New England Historical & Genealogical Register.
If someone already has a copy, could I ask you for a lookup?

OK I am absolutely certain that our families cross somewhere but I am not sure where. I have a GGG (I dont know how many greats) grandfather named George Washington Clinton. I have him listed as living 1814-1871. He was born in Orange County NC to John Clinton and Nancy Gresham Clinton.
George Washington also has a daughter named Sarah "Sallie" Clinton and a son named Morrison or Marion depending on the source. So I figure they are related somehow. Names seem to be passed through the generations. If you want to compare notes email me.
Also looking on more information on this family if anyone has information. bhunter21 at yahoo.com
