Hello again Becky,
I would love to hear about Minerva Phoebe Clinton and her family. I am especially interested in the Chenango Co., NY, period as I am trying to locate the ancestors of Minerva’s brother-in-law, Lewis Johnson. I am a descendant of Lewis & his wife Prudence Clinton, and have children, census data, his 1895 obit & the data down to myself. However, Lewis’ family is a mystery.
Minerva’s family is well documented in a published booklet and via the web. The 41-page booklet, “The Clinton Family of Connecticut,” is $10-$15 from The Higginson Book Company of Salem, MA. Their phone is (978)745-7170 and the website is www.higginsobooks.com. Delivery takes six weeks. The data was first printed 100 years ago in the New England Genealogical Review.
You can also get most (if not all) of the same data for free via the internet at the homepage //freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clintonct/index.html. However, you must type in the names you seek & then have to arrange all the pages. Each version prints data back in the 1600s, but only gives Minerva a one line entry.
Please let me hear from you,

Becky
