The book, "Matthew's American Armoury and Blue Book," by John Matthews, printed by the Gorham Co., New York & London, 1907. Do you have Blue Sap (blood) in your family tree? This book provides significant genealogical data about a large number of American 'blue bloods' as of 1907. What is useful is that the data usually traces lineage back to the immigrant ancestor, thus helping a great many people today. There are many, many surnames and many allied families mentioned. Many of the allied families are not listed in the lists below. Please Note: This is not a paper book - it is a direct scan of a copy of the original book, on CD-ROM. It is read using the free Adobe Reader software. It is a digital version of a hard to find book. The CD book is fully linked for ease of use. There are two sections in the book. The first has a fairly comprehensive entry listing a lot of information about the individual's ancestry, his family, and biographical information about the person (clubs,!
organizations, residences, etc). The second 'Addendum' provides fewer data about the individuals listed, but usually gives the year the person moved to America and where they settled. Both sections provide a B&W drawing of the Arms associated with the individual's family and there description in in heraldic terms (please see the images).
Clinton names are represented.

I have many Clintons back to 1642 in New England and many Joesphs. Would need something more defining to pick which one. Do not however have any born in the early 1900s except in my family tree. No Joesphs though.

Looking for information on this family in PA around 1850-1860.
New posting, if anyone knows of this family, please post or respond, thanks.
Richard D. Clinton, married Mary Jane Worthington, 1870 England. Richard D
Clinton and Mary Jane had 9 children; but only about 5 made it to adulthood.
The family came to America, in 1873/February. They lived in Rhode Island but
by 1917, Mary Jane a widow, now removed to New Jersey (Camden) with 3 of her
children; one of those children was living in Pennsylvania.
Of the children, I am searching for in this line, I would like any
information on:
Richard D. Clinton, Jr. he was married twice, (1) Mary Anna Johnston, she was
from Warren, Rhode Island. Marriage took place about 1895, Rhode Island.
I'm looking to see if there were children of this marriage. His second wife
was Jennie Francisco, according to the census she was born in Rhode Island but
apparently she and he went to live in New Jersey. Any information on them
would be appreciated.
Thomas A. Clinton, married a woman named Anna M. no last name yet, they
married about 1907 in Rhode Island, I'm looking for more information, children etc.
Thomas was living in Pennsylvania about 1910, after that in New Jersey.
Thank you.

Can someone connect the Clintons of Clintonville, WI to a Joseph Clinton born in early 1900's? I just found an obit of his daughter stating his wife was Eugenia Barden. I'm trying to establish which Barden line Eugenia is from to see if there is any connection to my family.

I found a photo of James B. Clinton taken in Vancouver Washington maybe in the early 50's? It would be nice to find his family to return the picture. Does this name sound familiar? -caron-
