I am looking for my family . Melinda Clinton was my great grandmother and lived in the Ironton Missouri area. Her father was Dewitt Clinton. I know very little about her. She married Lee D. Williams and then Charles Ottman. Any help would be appreciated. New email address is brendamoore2170(a)sbcglobal.net

Hello Listers!
I recently came across birth records for these two siblings. Is there any chance that anyone is researching Catharine's descendants? I believe that her brother John is my ggGrandfather. If anyone knows of any information, or a source for information, for the Clintons on the Isle of Wight, please let me know. John and Catharine's father was Henry Clinton, and my John Clinton named his only surviving son Henry. I have a couple of photos of Henry as an adult that should provide for a good comparison because he looked nothing like his Mother or her family. Henry had distinctively angular features and was a very handsome man (and quite the athlete).
If any of this rings a bell for any Clinton researcher, let's compare notes!

I mistakenly sent an email to Angela Kavanagh regarding your reply! My ggGrandmother was Bridget Clinton (nee Brien). Bridget's parents were Michael (Bryan?) Brien and Ellen Roberts-Lane. I suspect we are related. If so, I may have good news. I just sent for John Clinton's (Bridget's husband) birth cerificate, and expect to receive it within two weeks. Feel free to email me if you are interested.

Hi, am reposting in case there are any new ones to the list.
I have James CLINTON, b. 11 Aug 1761 Chester Co., PA...at 8 years of age,
moved with his family to York Distr., SC. Fought in the Rev War with the SC
Continental Dragoons.....married Ann ARMSTRONG 15 Mar 1787 York Distr.. SC.
James and Ann removed to area that became Caldwell Co., KY. His daughter
Francis (Fany) b. 23 Nov 1795 married Israel CANNON in 1821.
Much research has been done to find the names of James' parents in Chester
Co., PA. There is a line that fits, but no documents to confirm. A James
CLINTON, s/o Archibald CLINTON would be that line.
Anyone researching this line I'd love to hear from you.
best, Janice in Idaho

I don't know if this is the information you are looking for. But Nancy Pierce I have her middle name as Ann and you have it as Elizabeth. But one of nancy's children, Velda (Whom I have pictures of) Was born August 21, 1896 in Mo. Her maiden name was Clinton. She died July 10, 1966. She married Samuel Lathern Freeman April 9 and had several children, one of them being my grandmother, Freda Laverne Freeman. I have pictures of samuel, Velda, their children and their names, etc. All of the children who have died along with Sam and Velda and I believe Nancy as well are buried in the family cemetery at Brushyknob in douglas co.
