Debbie,
Any information that you could share would be great! I am working on this for my husband and his aunts. I show that Jemima was buried in Leanna, KS in 1889. I have that she had 12 children. Her son Lawson owned a grocery store in Veedemsburg IN.
Hope this helps!
Regina

When was Samuel born, and where in Tennessee did he settle? I am working on the genealogy of the Clinton's in the Sevier County area. I believe they were in that area as early as 1820-1830 but I can not find out where they were before then.

I have a good bit of information on this Clinton Family on my family tree maker web page which may provide you some of the information that you need, it goes back about three more generations from Ebenezer Clinton. If it does match your line, I would appreciate it if you could provide me additional information on descendants as I will update my web site and hopefully it will help others with their searches.

Ebenezer Clinton, Jr./ Abigail Wooster had son, Isaiah Smith Clinton, b c 1818 in Derby, New Haven County, CT. M Mary Ann Blake, Aug 2 1838, Rev. Joseph Scott performed ceremony, probably St. James Church, Derby, CT.
They moved to Mayport, FL I believe the children were born in Florida. Chhildren were: (1) Augusta M., who married G. Frank Duke of Lake City, FL (2) DeWitt, who later lived in Wellborn, Suwanee Co., FL (3) Laura A., who married Martin B. Bartholomew of Jacksonville, FL
Also, a nephew of Isaiah, Samuel Willis Clinton, b at New Haven Feb 1, 1853, was living at Mayport, FL in 1875, probably died before 1880.
Mary Ann may have died? and he married Elizabeth?
My correct email is now phyllisc(a)fastnetinc.net
Can't seem to find out how to change it on this list.
I am glad to get your info. Isaiah is my great grand-uncle.
