John Clinton married Nancy Jane Coleman. Does anyone have info re: ancestors of these two? Some connected to family think John was a yankee from the NY area who settled after the Civil War. Others think he was born in either the state of Ohio or Bienville Parish, LA. Nancy Jane is thought to be from Missippi. I can't find any documentation for either of their births, or any other info re: them. Any help would be appreciated.

Carol,
I'm trying to locate someone that might know any of my grandmother family. She was Ella Rozella Clinton Haynes.
I know they lived in Ava since that was where my father
(Archie Haynes ) was born. I remember visiting that area
once in 1959 with my dad &mother ,I remember we visited
Becky , seems like there was a son (?) named Raymond
Freeman..... don't hold me to that .....it just seems to ring a bell , also there was a lady there who taught school.
If any of this rings a bell , please let me know .Gerri
Carol, I have been trying to do some research on my father
ancesters. He was born in Ava in 1913 . My dad was Archie
Haynes, his father was Walter Haynes and his mother was
Ella Clinton Haynes. I remember going with my dad and mom in1958 to visit grandma's sister, " Becky " I believe was her name . My dad died in 1979 and all his 5 sisters are deceased. The only person living that I can get information
from is my mom who is almost 87 yrs old, I would love to find
some of grandma &grandpas relatives and learn of their heritage. I was only 4yrs. old when my grandpa died in 1943
and my grandma died in 1957 . I would appreciate hearing from any family or anyone knowing of my grandparents,Gerri
