Camp Co. TX is in far north east TX and was formed from Upshur Co in 1874.
The county seat is 126 Church St. Pittsburg, TX 75686. The county is tiny
and about one county into the state from the Red River on the north and the
LA border on the east.
If Peter Clinton was here before the TX Rev., maybe he was related to that
James Clinton who was also here in that time period. The area that comes to
my mind is Gonzales Co. area - I know it was east of San Antonio, but I just
can't remember where. TeeHee The mind goes first.
