Hi, New to the group, anyone know of any relations to a Guernsey Chaffee
Cline, who lived at Salters Point, Mass in the summers and Delray Beach, Fla
in the winters?

Indiana Co PA was formed in 1803 from Lycoming and

group in Indiana? At one time they provided great
information on early settlers.
Thanks for the info and suggestion. Sharon

I'm searching for the parents of William M CLINE, b 1817 in Indiana Co, PA,
who m Nancy NORMAN in Belmont Co, OH in 1838. William had only 2 sons (and 11
daughters!), the first named William and the second David. This has been my
brick wall for years.
I have been told that Indiana Co was a part of Westmoreland Co, at some
point. William had listed in his Civil War enlistment papers ca 1864 that he was
b in Indiana Co in 1817 -- so I don't know if he was reflecting the
"current" situation, or the "actual" one.
I have an old note from "somewhere" stating:
L. M. Cline, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, was the son of William
Cline (1786-1839) and Elizabeth Cline (1793-1845). William Cline was shown as a
stone/marble cutter in an unofficial list of early settlers of Greensburg .
Son Lewis/Louis M Cline b 1824
Several things interest me here: a) father's name is William, b) middle
initial of Lewis is M, c) my William could easily be the child of
William/Elizabeth above based on 1817 birth date. So, this seems my best possibility of "a
family."
Is anyone familiar with this particular family? Any help greatly
appreciated!!

Does anyone know anything about a Jacob Cline in Putnam, Warren Co., IN. In the 1840 census he was between the ages of 70 & 80.
There was also a Peter/Petter Cline between the ages of 20 & 30 in the same place.
Is there anyone familiar with the Cline families.

Thanks for writing. Yes, the name can be spelled TOO MANY ways!!
The Ancestry info is all correct EXCEPT for Kachlein (middle initial wrong,
birth and death dates both wrong -- someone just flat out has the wrong
person). At least it provides another alternate spelling! :)

I've reached a brick wall searching for William M CLINE b 1817 in Indiana
Co, PA. He moved to Belmont Co, OH (SE OH across from Wheeling, WV) and
married Nancy NORMAN there in 1838.
He had 13 children, one of whom was named Louisiana Cline. It occurred to
me that this is an unusual name, and if it appeared in any other CLINE
family,
it might represent a connection. He also had only 2 sons -- named William
(after himself?) and David (his father?).
So, does anyone recognize my family, or have a Louisiana Cline in their
line?
Any help greatly appreciated!!! I'll happily share information; I've got
quite a bit on descendants.
Sharon
I am searching for the parents of Jacob Cline b. Richland Co., OH in 1823.
His father from NY and mother from PA. He moved to Warren Co., IL, married
there in 1847, then moved to Fayette Co., IA in 1856. He stayed in Iowa
moving to different parts of the state.
I have siblings for him. There were a lot of Cline's in Richland Co. early
1800's. I cannot figure out which of them are his parents.
