Hi, everyone--
Sid and Ann Propst of Brevard, NC are proud and excited to announce the birth of our first great-grandchild on the evening of 15 August 2002, a boy, Austin Christopher Wooden. He has reddish hair as both his mother and grandfather have; he weighed in at just over 7 pounds and is 20 inches long. Austin's parents are Crystal Propst and Christopher Wooden. Crystal is the daughter of our third son, Glenn Propst. New mother, father and grandfather are all doing fine. Now, my brother, Jim, is having a problem adjusting to the fact that he is now a great-great-uncle! <GBG>

Peter lived in the southwest part of Old Warwick Twp.near the Conestogo twp.
line
Johannes father of Peter (first) dies young at age 30. His children were made

Sharon,
I don't have birth state for most of the children. The ones I have are all
Illinois, Ohio, or Pennsylvania. However they probably went through Indiana
to get from Ohio to Illinois.

To Dennis and all,
There was also a Ludwig Cline in Richmond Co. He was from Ulster Co., NY.
I have it in an e-mail somewhere that some of those from Ulster Co. went to
VA and then went to OH. Think I have that correct. There is a Jacob in
Washington Co., PA before 1800. He had come there from VA. He was a judge,
if I remember right. He had several children but I believe one was a Conrad
and one was Petter/Peter. I need to dig out all of this information now
that I have found someone that had Cline's in Richmond Co.

I don't see any similar names except for Henry.
I think it is very likely that there is some connection between these two
Cline families living in Fulton Co however.
My Clines originally came from New York. Jonas Cline's grandfather (Also
named Jonas Cline) fought in the Revolution. After the Revolution they went
first to Pennsylvania, then Ohio, and finally settled in Illinois. Other
family members came with them. The 1830 census shows them living in Ohio
(Richland Co.). In addition to the original Jonas Cline, his son in law,
(Lodwick) and grandson (Jonas) there are three other Clines in the same
township that I suspect were related (Benjamin, Conrad, and Jacob).
So there may have been a number of relatives making the trip west. It is
very possible that your Henry and Mary are connected here somewhere.

Sharon,
I also have Clines in Fulton County Illinois. And they had a son, Henry.
But I don't think he is your henry.
Jonas and Mary Cline lived in Young Hickory Township, Fulton County from late
1840's to his death in 1870. Son Henry was listed as 15 in 1850 census which
would make him born abt. 1835. Census records him as born in Ohio. I have
him married to "Clarissa" with four children: William, Charles, Marion, Henry
M.
If any of this matches, I have a lot of info on ancestory of Jonas.

I am looking for Narcissus Newton who married George W. Cline from the
same area. I thought this was neat that you are looking for Clines and
Newtons. If I find these names in my research I'll let you know. Please
do the same for me. Also I'm still looking for information on Lousia
Jane Cline who married William Martin Daniel. I have the Daniel
information, but I can't trace Lousia Cline's ancestors.

Hi all,
I am still looking for any information on Polly Ann NEWTON and her husband ?
CLINE. Since my last posting I have found out that her husband's name was
possibly Daniel and they had 6 children (Polly Ann evidently was not the
mother of all 6 of them, or there was an error made by the death informant):
Amanda Narcissus CLINE b. 4/13/1856 in Cherokee County, GA?, m. to
Christopher Columbus PARIS, d.1/28/1942 in Emerson, GA, buried in the city
cemetery in Cassville, GA.
George B. (Buk)? CLINE b.in NC 2/7/1859, m. to Lula ?, d. 6/7/1924 in
Cartersville, GA. , buried in the city cemetery in Emerson GA. and at the
time of his death he was living at 615 Douglas St., Cartersville, GA. His
parents listed on the death certificate were Daniel CLINE and Mary CLINE
(Cline is listed as her maiden name on George's death certificate, but that
is probably an error) both born in GA. I have no further information on his
parents.
Mike C., b.8/20/1870, m. Sallie R.?, d. 2/23/1953 in Emerson, GA and buried
in the city cemetery in Emerson, GA.
Noah Richard Isakiah Harrison, nicknamed "Dick".
Adeline.

We were taken to the cemetery by the manager of the ranch. We drove
about 10 miles down a one way cleatchie road with no sign of life until
we reached an area where there was a barn and two houses used by the
owners when they want to come visit there. A worker on the ranch saw us
and told us were to find the manager. He was very nice and led the way
to the cemetery. There is a fence around it, but it is never cleaned up
inside the fence. We drove through waist high bushes and grass to even
get to the fence.
We got out and went to the fence, but just as the manager had warned us
before we got there, it was too dangerous to try to go inside except in
the winter, when the grass etc is dead and the snakes are gone. (This is
rattle snake country). It is at Whitney, TX. That is where the lake is
that caused so many graves to be moved to many different cemeteries in
the area. If I could be sure his grave is there I'd go back this winter,
but with no assurance that it is there, I'll not try to go back. If I
could find a record of where he is buried I'd gladly go back. It is such
a shame that a cemetery has such little respect. They moved the graves
and most of the graves moved have UNKNOWN on them. I know that the
"real" person is gone on to heaven or hell, but the grave site should be
respected. I don't know what I can do about it, but I'd sure like to
complain to someone about the way those remains were treated. He fought
in the Civil war and Clines have fought in every war this country has
been involved in. They are due some respect.
Does any one out there have information on the ancestors of Lousia Jane
Cline ( married William Martin Daniel) she was born March 23, 1854. I
understand her father was John Cline. I have the Daniel information, but
I need the Cline information if anyone has it.

My sister and I spent all day yesterday in Whitney, TX
trying to find the grave of our great grandfather George Washington
Cline.
My sister and I went through records and cemeteries until we were
exhausted . The heartbreaking site of the graveyard at Steiner
Vally Ranch where he had worked in the mid to late 1800's was awful.
It was so grown over that we could not even go inside, because of the
possibilities of snakes etc.
There is a great possibility that his grave is there, but no
way to find out.

Claudie, did you get the feeling that the owners of the cemetery could be
located ? How far of a hike from any access road to the cemetery? Is this
near any township or out in the middle of a field? I'm so sorry that you
weren't able to get the information you were looking for.
Thanks

If there is a Civil War organization near there contact them, they might put
the cemetery on their list for clean up. The owners would probably allow
them to do that.
