Where were Jacob and Rebecca Kline living at death?
I'm trying to Track a Jacob (mine born c1788) and his wife Rebecca. They
were in Summit Co., OH in 1850 census and then I loose them.
Believe sons are Michael b.c 1811 and John b. 1816 both in PA
Michael married Julie Wehley in Summit Co. and John m. Catherine Wager
in Portage Co., OH in Jan. 1840.
Suzanne
we are descended from Moritz Klein, his son Sebastian, his son Christopher
and so on. I have been able to find Moritz's siblings, but haven"t been able
to find anything else about them. My understanding is that Moritz's fathers'
name was also Sebastian or was it Nicholas? Also, Moritz married a Marzloff,
is there any information about her family?
Thank You, Dovie Hedrick
Barbara: I am a descendant of Jacob Kline and Rebecca Daily - Jacob is a son
of Frederick Kline and Rebecca Weiser. Jacob b 1736/1737 -- At least this
is the way we thought it was. Now, some other info has me puzzled and I need
some help. This jacob b 1726/1737 was m. to Haldrin Woodworth 1st and then
to we thought Rebecca Daily - their son Jacob was born 1760. However, some
say that this Jacob b 1760 was the one m. to Rebecca Daily. My line goes
back like this - my grandfather Floyd Cline was the son of Frank Cline, Frank
the son of Archibald Cline, Archibald the son of Elijah Cline, Elijah the son
of Hugh Cline, Hugh the son of Jacob Kline (the 1737 Jacob) whom we thought
was m. to Rebecca Daily 2nd.
But.. According to Elijah clines brother Sampson, He says that his
grandfather was Jacob and his great grandfather Frederick. He also states
that Jacob had a wife named Lucy Hollenbeck and they had 14 children one of
whom was a Frederick. And then he m. Rebecca Daily. Well this disagrees
with what Hank Jones had written that Jacob son of Frederick and Rebecca m.
1st Haldrin Woodworth and then 2nd Rebecca Daily. I sure would like to
figure this out. If you can be of any help, please contact me.
These people came from the Mohawk Valley area of N.Y. State, with Hugh moving
to Allegany co., N.Y. in 1842 from columbia co., N.Y. Note that Rebecca
Weiser is the daughter of Johann conrad Weiser and the step or half sister of
the Famous Conrad Weiser, son of Johann conrad Weiser.
Sincerely,
Linda S. Smith
