My Father, Harry Byrd Kline was born in Nevada, Mo in 1898 . His Father,
Wellington
Cline. Moved to Ardmore OK by ox cart shortly there after. My Father,
changed the spelling from Cline to Kline. He told me that the spelling
could have been originally Cline, originating in Scotland. Do you have any
info in this regards dating back to Scotland.

Dick, I don't know if we're connected to my CLINE line, but sure wish I'd
find someone who is! :) With all the CLINE's running around, I'd like
someone to claim him.
My oldest known CLINE is my gggrandfather William M. CLINE b ca 1820 in

It's a longshot, but any chance of a connection? Sharon

Looking for info on Walter David Cline, known as Rusty. He was in the
Military, stationed in Pittsburgh, California in abt. 1948. I believe
he was from Texas. He married a girl from Pa, who was out in California.
He left just before his Son was born. Have not seen or heard from him
since. His son would love to know something about him.

I just noticed your message and I connect to your line. My line goes from
Me, Doris J. Law Young, my father is Clarence H. Law, his father was Henry
Addison Law, his MOTHER was Melissa Ann Cline, her father was James T. Cline
who was married to Thursey Hougland, and his father was James Cline who was
married to Mary Hougland.
My question is, do you happen to know who Thursey Hougland's parents were
and also Mary Hougland's. Were these two Hougland's related in some way?
What part of the country do you live in? I live in Nevada, formally from
Wichita, Kansas, and will probably be moving back there sometime in the next
year.
Looking forward to hear from you,

getting pretty frustrated . GrPa William Simon Goynes shows on the 1880

This William CLINE is a brick wall -- I'll try another posting and hope for
more luck.
I'm looking for the family of William M. CLINE b ca 1820 in Indiana Co, PA.
Various references would indicate his birth between 1816-1823. His Civil War
enlistment papers (from 1WV Infantry, Co C) indicate 1820/21 is most likely,
and is the only place where I've found his birth location in PA. I've found
a Solomon CLINE in Indiana Co, PA at about this time period, but from what
I've found on his family, I don't see a connection to my William.
At some point William (with or without family) moved to Belmont Co, OH. His
occupation was shoemaker. He married Nancy NORMAN in May 1838 in Belmont Co,
and raised 13 children there (see below):

Belmont Co marriage records show an Isaac CLINE getting married in 1835 and a
Margaret CLINE getting married in 1836. I have no further info on either of
them, but wonder if they could be siblings of William?
Does anyone have information on this CLINE? Sharon
Poohbear, my GGrfather was Thomas M. Cline , b. abt 1845. His tombstone shows him to be from Kansas City, state(?) , but the 1880 Newton Co., TX census shows he was from IN . I was told he was probably the son of James Tobias Cline in Scott Co., IN .
Do you have any info on him and documentation ? Hope to hear from you soon.
Be Blessed,
Lorene
