I am searching for information about the exact birthplace and parents of my
3g grandfather, Philip Cline, who was b. 1777 in VA. Do you know who could
be his parents?
Thank you!

Dear Researchers,
I am new to the list and am researching some Cline's who lived in Henry
Co., MO. This is the family of my daughter. Her great grandfather was born
in Henry County, MO as Francis Thomas Cline and he said he had his name
changed later to Thomas Francis Cline and he was called "Tom". He married
Opal Marie McMillin on 11 Jul 1934 and was of age (at least 21) when he
married.
I do not know who his parents were and have not been able to look at a
census record for Henry Co., MO yet. He should be on the 1920 Census there
with his parents. If anyone has this family in their family records or could
help me with this, I would appreciate it greatly.
Sincerely,
Wendy Forester
does anyone know who peter cline's wife was?? he came to philadelphia from
germany in 1787 and then moved to ky. i can't find anyone who knows who he
was married to. help
Robin,
I am including a URL for multi-search engine listing in the hopes it may
help others as well I have replied to both the list and you specifically.
After going to the URL look at the right hand column. You will see altavista
Canada and 411 Canada. I would suggest the 411 I found 7 listing for Robert
Cline in British Columbia. I did not even try Toronto but I would suggest
trying all variations of city searches; you might get lucky if one of the
listed address matched the return address on your card. Another suggestion
is look very closely at the boxing picture, see if you can identify ANYTHING
in the background. Then check Canada for amateur boxing or professional
boxing. Almost anything in the picture might jog someone's memory. Get the
picture scanned just in case someone would ask for it by email to see if
they can identify the location.
Good Luck !

Can you help me find my father? His name is Robert George Cline - Would be in his early to mid 50s - He was married to my mother Dianne (Haughey) Cline at the time of my birth in 1964. I was born in Toronto, Ontario. Between 1966 & 1970 he may have done time in prison (in Ontario), he definitely went to British Columbia from where he sent me an Easter card. I know he had a sister who lived in St. Catherines Ontario but I do not know her name. Unfortunately during this time in her life, my Mother was living an alternative lifestyle the sort of which my family did not approve. As a result when she passed away when I was six, I was sent to live with my Grandmother and no details were ever offered me with regard to my father, his family or my mother's life at that time. My Grandmother has passed away herself now, and I have found bits & pieces of clues. I have 2 pictures of my father (from the sixties) one of 2 men in a ring boxing, written underneath "Bobbie Boxing" & on!
e of him in a suit. I should note that I suspect he was turned away by my family if indeed he knew my mother passed away.
I you can help with any information or assist in other avenues I might search, I would be eternally grateful. My intentions are purely those of a daughter searching for the man she remembers as "Daddy".
Thank You,
Robin

Hello list,
New research has indicated that my family of Clines were in the Oppenheim area of Fulton County. My ggrandfather, Charles M. (b 1855) was the son of George H. and Nancy. His siblings were James W, Edgar L., Arthur M., Mary W., Milford C. & Anson M. I located them in Oppenheim as far back as 1850. Nancy was born in Montgomery Co., but I don't know her maiden name.
Charles married Sarah HOFFMAN (b 1853, Fulton Co.) in 1875. Her father is Charles Hoffman (who is descended from the Hoffman/Hufman families in Fulton and Herkimer Counties since the late 1700s) and Louisa is her mother (maiden name unknown). They may also be connected to a Knapthaler Cline.
There are a few other Clines in this area who were living right next door, whom I believe to be related. One is a Knapthaler (b 1798) & his wife Catherine (b 1804) & their children Ruth Ann VAUGHN (b 1829), John H. (b ?) & William C. (b 1855). Also Henry P. (b 1787) & wife Catherine (b 1791) with their children Henrietta (b 1825) & Catherine (b 1833).
If anyone is familiar with this branch of the Clines I would appreciate any info. I have info from Charles and Sarah to share.
Thanks in advance.
Beth
Cline Listserver,
I am forwarding this request in hopes that someone on this CLINE list might help this woman find her father. I have left her original "to list" just in case anyone might be seeking the Clines she originally sent this request to.
Sincerely,
