My previous post referred specifically to the Passenger and Immigration
Lists Index records. Most of us on this list know about the will of John
Kleinerd in Philladelphia, PA dated December 2, 1751, in which John Kleinerd
identified a son named Philip.

I've been trying to find the earliest records of our Clinard immigration to
America. Finding records of Clinards before mid-1700s has proven to be rare
so far. Here's an interesting one. If someone can find the source record
and let us know the details, it would be great.
Place: North America

John Emory Clinard was born in Decatur Co, GA on May 19, 1863 and died in
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, August 15, 1933. He married Rebecca
(?) and had 2 children by her, Emory Clinard, born about October 1888, and
Nona Clinard, born about November 1891. Rebecca died intestate, recorded in
court records in Decatur Co, GA, October 15, 1894.
John then married Nancy E. Mathis on March 14, 1897 in Baker Co, GA.
About 1903 - 1906 time period, John left GA for Texas, where exactly, I
don't know. I believe his two children by first marriage, Emory and Nona,
went with him, but not his second wife and child by that marriage.
John later, I don't know when, settled in Vancouver, B.C. His death there
is recorded in BC. Death Index, B.C., Canada, Reg. No. 1933-09-481440.
John Emory Clinard was a brother to my g-g-grandfather, and our family knows
very little of whatever became of him or his children Emory and Nona. We
believe Emory died in Texas, but I have no documentation of it.
Any help in finding more about them is appreciated.
