Nadine, Where are your Clifton's from? I am decended from Nathan Clifton
Chance and Eleanor Chance, from NC to Indiana, and then to Van Buren/Cleburne Co.
Ark., by 1850, Nathan had a lot of daughters, some of them married and
migrated to Tx. I haven't been able to find who Nathan's parents were, I would
appreciate any help, from any source, on these Cliftons. Thanks--Evelyn
I haven't posted on this line for a while. Upon reviewing what I have on
my CLIFTON line I find that I"m not sure who the parents of Martha Ann Clifton
are. Martha married my grgrandfather Thomas Kinsey Farmer. I have thought
that Martha was the granddaughter of George Clifton, Sr. and the daughter of
Levin and Sarah Smith(or Wells) Clifton. I am puzzeled at Levin's age of 60 in
1850. Was this a second marriage?
I descend from Bulah Farmer, daughter of Thomas Kinsey Farmer and Martha
Ann. She married my grandfather, William Emmett Wood. I haven't heard from
Lori Davis or Ken Guinn in a long time. They are cousins through this Farmer
line.
Can someone in this Clifton line help my confusion?
Thanking you in advance, Nadine
