Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Has anyone on this list considered participating in the DNA testing?
I am having some very good luck on another family line that I had hit a
brick wall on, and now know which set I am related to in that particular
line.
I've noted some discrepancies in the past with others on the Clifton
list that I have exchanged information with, and I think that if each of
us could have a male Clifton descendant tested, we might just put to
rest some of those discrepancies.
Anybody interested? The first basic test you can do is $99 for a 12
marker test. That one is good enough to match up close relatives and a
good starting point. What I've done is have family members share the
cost dividing it up among those that are truly interested in 'where they
came from' and it has worked out great.
