hi Lorraine
Yes my Colemans and Cliftons were a couple out of a large family all in
Bloxham in Banbury Oxfordshire.
I have doen a lot of research into the Clifton's in Oxfordshire and they
married into a lot of the local familes.
My data so far goes back to the 1600's in bloxham so if you find yours
wandering back in that direction as you go back give me a shout.
the clark family were from staffordshire.

Ann Clifton....I am searching for the parents of my great-grandmother Ann
Clifton , born around 1790-1794 and married Jasper Crain .They died in
Williamson County ,Illinois, after having move from Tenn. in 1816, their son
Winfrey Lewis was born around 1811 in Tenn. and served in the Black Hawk
Indian Wars,in 1832. The Crain family moved from North Carolina , after
having lived there from about 1778-1792. They were in Surrey Co. in 1777,
Rowan in 1768, and Granville Co, before moving from from Vieginia , where
Jasper was born in 1766. So I beleive , that Ann , sometimes listed as Mary
, may have been Mary Ann ??, to have been born in North Carolina ,Tenn, or
possibly Va.. Does anyone have a listing of site URLs , that have
information on our Clifton ancestors? Any help, anyone, can give me, in my
quest, will be greatly appreciated, and very well received. May God Bless
All, Charles.
Hi Lorraine
I see you have COLEMAN AND CLARK in your Clifton Family Tree.
My Cliftons were originally from Brenchley Kent to Tonbridge and Brighton in Sussex.
Esther Coleman was married to a Clifton and she was born London.
Clarks were from Stepney, London.

hi Steve
I have a lot of cliftons and several Anns two born 1733 and 1734 but both in
Oxfordshire - not a million miles away - do you have any idea of per
parentage or is this what your looking for - assume youhave this info from
church records?

Hi
I am a new member on this list and am seeking the family of ANNE CLIFTON who married LEONARD WINTERBORN in West Hanney, Berkshire in 1755. They may have moved to Wantage after the wedding.
Does this info. appear in your tree? I am happy to reciprocate with what I have.
Many thanks
Steve
