Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I've sent this out before but not recently so maybe there is someone
new that recognizes some of this.
I'm looking for anything on Hawkins & Ezekiel Clifton.
Ezekiel Clifton is in the 1840 census in Conecuk, Al.
then he show's up again in the 1860Conecuk, Al census.
The next record I have for him is the Florida state census
of 1870 and he is in Volusia Co. There is a Clifton Family
cemetary in Barberville, Volusia, Co. Fl. There is an
Ezekiel buried there. I believe this is the same Ezekiel
The record from the cemetary list shows his dob 28, Dec. 1816
dod 18, Mar. 1891. If anyone has any information on him I
would love to get in touch.
Hawkins Clifton was married the Emma Bartilda (Matilda) Renfroe
22, April, 1867 in Monroe Co. Al. I have found Hawkins & Bartilla
in the 1880 Santa Rosa Co., Fl census. His age is listed there
as 48 so he would have been born about 1832. He died in Santa
Rosa Co., Fl. in 1886. There were 5 children to this marriage.
Daniel Twigg who is 7 on the 1880 census, Charles Marques whom
I have a dob 1, April, 1867, Lee Decatur dob 4, April 1880 dod
17 Dec., 1945 in Bartow Polk. Co. Fl, George Clyde no dob and he
is not on the census so he could be younger than Lee Decatur.
There was also a girl Docia or Dosha Clifton who died as a child
of 9 or 10.
Any help with these names and dates would be appreciated.
